Directed by Kurt Grabenstein, Play On! is described as the hilarious story of a theater group trying desperately to put on a play despite the maddening interference of a haughty author who keeps revising the script. Act I is a rehearsal of the dreadful show, Act II is the near disastrous dress rehearsal, and the final act is the actual performance in which anything that can go wrong does. When the author decides to give a speech on the state of the modern theatre during the curtain calls, the audience is treated to a madcap climax to a thoroughly hilarious romp

If you could transform back into your teen self for a day, what would you do? Cause some mischief? Attend that One Direction concert you had been too embarrassed to go to before? Run to the nearest FAO Schwartz and play on their giant-sized foot piano? The possibilities are endless. Tuesday's episode of SUPERNATURAL, entitled 'About a Boy,' not only re-introduced us to teen Dean, but instilled a fear of childhood fairytales inside all of us.
On the face of it, AFTER DINNER is an amusing look at 5 middle aged singletons out for a good night out but look beneath the bright makeup and power suits and the timeless truths show along with the tragedy of their situations.

I experienced my first Broadway Sitzprobe this past weekend! The nerdy Asian boy in me needs to explain what a sitzprobe is, for those who don't already know. Sitzprobe (pronounced zits-probe) is a German-derived term literally meaning 'seated test or seated trial.' Of course, the sitzprobe process is widely used across the various performing arts. In the musical theater world, it is when the orchestra members and the actors meet for the first time and do a seated run-through rehearsal of the show. Up until Saturday, we had been listening to our rehearsal pianists and drummer. From what I understand, the score is tremendously difficult to play on the piano, as it was written to be performed by a huge orchestra. So here's a shout-out to our talented rehearsal musicians who have been holding down the fort for us during the past several weeks.
