The Film Society of Lincoln Center and Subway Cinema in association with Japan Society announce the full schedule today for the 2013 New York Asian Film Festival (NYAFF) which will screen June 28 - July 15. The popular film festival will showcase over 60 feature films with filmmakers and celebrity guests travelling from Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan to attend the festival. Also announced were special focuses for this year's edition of NYAFF including a celebration of the career of Korean star Ryoo Seung-Beom and new works from the Philippines (joining the previously announced focuses on Hong Kong cinema, Taiwan pulp and a salute to Well Go USA).

The New Group announced today that Ayub Khan Din has stepped into the title role in the new musical Bunty Berman Presents..., replacing actor Erick Avari who withdrew from the production last week on doctor's orders following an injury. The world premiere of this musical comedy, with book & lyrics by Ayub Khan Din and music by Ayub Khan Din and Paul Bogaev, is directed by Scott Elliott. Previews began April 12. Performances resume Wednesday, April 24 in advance of Official Opening Night on Thursday, May 9 at 7:00pm. A limited Off-Broadway engagement is slated through June 1 at The New Group at Theatre Row (The Acorn Theatre / 410 West 42nd Street).

High brow it's not, but high entertainment it is, and Woodlawn Theatre's current production of The Full Monty will have you hooting, hollering, and digging for singles.

Moonbox Productions presents A NEW BRAIN, the engaging, life-affirming musical about finding serenity, humor and music, in the face of death. Emmy-winning filmmaker Stephanie J. Castillo is running a 45-day global fundraising campaign at Kickstarter.com to raise $50,000 to begin shooting her feature-length documentary film, NIGHT BIRD SONG: THE THOMAS CHAPIN STORY this summer. The shoot locations will include the New York City area, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Europe. The Kickstarter campaign was launched on February 13, and will end on March 31. Kicking off its drama pilot orders, FOX Broadcasting Company (FOX) has given a pilot order to RAKE, a character-driven comedic drama by Peter Duncan (creator of the original Australian series) and executive-produced by Peter Tolan ('Rescue Me,' 'Analyze This') and Michael Wimer ('2012'). Academy Award nominee and Emmy Award winner Greg Kinnear ('Little Miss Sunshine,' 'The Kennedys') has been cast in the lead role of KEEGAN JOYE, a brilliant, but self-destructive criminal defense lawyer. Kinnear also will co-executive-produce.

Up-and-coming Pop artist Jeremy Fernandez is making his presence felt on radio airwaves throughout North America with his hit debut single "Miss America" featuring Ben J. of the hip-hop duo New Boyz. Michael Riedel reports in today's The New York Post that producer Anne Hamburger, founder of Off-Broadway's En Garde Arts, has acquired the rights and hired Alfred Uhry to turn John Berendt's 1994 best selling book MIDNIGHT IN THE GARDEN OF GOOD AND EVIL into a Broadway musical. Said to be nearly done with the first draft, the show will feature musical numbers from the catalog of Johnny Mercer.

It is sure to be a bittersweet moment when Maxim Eshkenazy-Pacific Symphony's much-loved assistant conductor for the last four seasons-steps down at the end of 2012-13, passing the baton to new Assistant Conductor Alejandro Gutierrez.
