The Guthrie has announced that its 35th annual production of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol will receive a new adaptation by Barbara Field, with Gary Gisselman directing the Twin Cities holiday classic for the ninth consecutive season and legendary stage and screen actorPeter Michael Goetz returning to play Ebenezer Scrooge.
As previously reported, screen star and Drama Desk-winning actor Anthony Hopkins will star in Thor, the Kenneth Branagh helmed film for Marvel Studios. Production begins in January and Paramount Pictures will distribute the film on May 20, 2011.

Variety reports that stage and screen stars Annette Bening and Anthony Hopkins will star in Andy Garcia's latest film, Hemingway and Fuentes. The film is a period piece that Garcia co-wrote with Hilary Hemingway, granddaughter of author Ernest Hemingway. Garcia will also direct and star in the piece alongside Bening and Hopkins.
