Hennepin Theatre Trust today unveiled the lineup for the 2009/10 Broadway Across America-Minneapolis Season featuring six Minnesota debuts including Disney and Cameron Mackintosh's Mary Poppins, the 2008 multi-Tony Award-winning In The Heights, The New Mel Brooks Musical Young Frankenstein and Dirty Dancing, The Classic Story On Stage.

BAM is delighted to present a new staging of Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice from Edward Hall's award-winning company Propeller. The Kimmel Center and Shubert Organization are thrilled to announce a top-notch lineup of Broadway theater as part of the new 2009-2010 Broadway Series at the Academy of Music and the Forrest Theatre. The new Broadway Series subscription season will feature: Grease starring American Idol Winner Taylor Hicks (July 7 - 12, 2009); White Christmas (Nov. 24 - 29, 2009); Dreamgirls (June 22 - 27, 2010) all at the Academy of Music; and August: Osage County (April 27 - May 2, 2010) at the Forrest Theatre.

Pace University's Pace New Musicals Program, now in it's third year, is a workshop initiative that offers students the invaluable opportunity take part in the developmental process of new material with up-and coming writers. In the past few months, the program received 42 submissions for consideration, out of which one new work was selected to be developed by Pace. This year, Pace New Musicals proudly presents the world premiere reading of Darling, a new musical with music and lyrics by Ryan Scott Oliver and a book by B.T. Ryback.
