Classic Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick and Executive Director Greg Reiner, in association with Staci Levine, will present Tony Award winner Mandy Patinkin and acclaimed actor/performance artist Taylor Mac in THE LAST TWO PEOPLE ON EARTH: AN APOCALYPTIC VAUDEVILLE, a workshop presentation with direction and choreography by Tony Award winner Susan Stroman, and music direction by Paul Ford, for a strictly limited engagement from Saturday, December 14 thru Tuesday, December 31. Performances of THE LAST TWO PEOPLE ON EARTH: AN APOCALYPTIC VAUDEVILLE will be presented at the Abrons Arts Center (466 Grand Street, NYC).

Helm - who played a variety of places here in Lancaster ---died following a long battle with cancer in April 2012 at age 71.

Granting unprecedented access, the iconic rock band partnered with Academy Award-winning filmmaker, Alex Gibney (Taxi to the Dark Side, Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room), to produce this inside look into the history of the band and the legacy of its music. Part One will premiere today at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, UT, and make its television debut on Friday, February 15, at 8 PM ET/PT (two hours) on SHOWTIME. Presented by Performance Space 122 (PS122) and Dixon Place as part of PS122's eighth annual COIL festival, Ruff pays tribute to the host of crooners, lounge singers, movie stars, rock and roll bands and eccentric family members who have kept Shaw company, living inside her, for the past 68 years. Guided by longtime collaborator Lois Weaver, Shaw throws off the stigma of age and embraces the joy-and necessity-of creating new work, post-stroke, aided by new technology and even deeper courage. Shaw is the recipient of the 2011 Ethyl Eichelberger award.
