Nigel Redden, director of the Lincoln Center Festival, and Rebecca Robertson, President and Executive Producer, Park Avenue Armory, today announced that the two organizations will co-present The Passenger, Mieczyslaw Weinberg's uncompromising 1968 opera about the Holocaust, performed by Houston Grand Opera and directed by David Pountney, in its New York premiere performances July 10, 12 and 13 at Lincoln Center Festival 2014. Pountney's production will have its U.S. premiere on January 18, 2014 at Houston Grand Opera.

David Mirvish celebrates 50 years of his family producing and presenting theatre by announcing a busy new season of shows for 2013-14. In total, Mirvish Productions will present 18 shows and employ over 500 artists on its four stages in Toronto - the Royal Alexandra, Princess of Wales, Ed Mirvish and Panasonic theatres. Omaha Performing Arts received a special tribute from Disney Theatrical Productions to commemorate years of successful engagements in Omaha, including the recent record-breaking return of Disney's THE LION KING. Omaha is one of the first cities in the United States to receive this recognition. A handcrafted lioness mask was specially made for the occasion and is a replica of the one originally created by renowned designer, Michael Curry and the Tony-Award winning director of Disney's The Lion King, Julie Taymor.
