On Saturday, May 1, the Straight for Equality Awards Gala honored Liza Minnelli at the New York Marriott Marquis. Liza Minnelli was presented with the 2010 Straight for Equality in Entertainment Award. This honor recognizes Liza's lifelong role as a Straight Ally of the LGBT community. Last night, March 15, the stars came out to celebrate 64 years of Liza Minnelli, who turned 64 on March 12, 2010. Friends such as Parker Posey, Joel Grey and Billy Stritch celebrated with a night of performances honoring Liza, one of theater's all-time greats. Minnelli herself took the stage at the end of the evening.

The New York Times has revealed that the York Theater's production of ENTER LAUGHING, based on the semi-autobiographical novel by Carl Rainer about a young actor managing his life and women, that ran off-Broadway last season will head to the Great White Way in the 2010 - 2011 season. No theater has been booked.
