Pittsburgh CLO's 2011 Summer Season will fill the Benedum Center with performances audiences will remember well into 2012. In addition to favorite local performers, this summer will be highlighted by talented Broadway stars, accomplished recording artists and veterans of the stage and screen.

2011 Muny auditions for children (ages 7-13) will be held on Saturday, March 5, and for teens (ages 14-18) on Sunday, March 6. These auditions will be held at the Performing Arts Center at St. Louis University High School, 4970 Oakland Avenue. This madcap romp features two veteran Northern Stage actors, Scott Cote (Beauty & the Beast, Cabaret, Moon Over Buffalo) and Kevin Loreque (I Am My Own Wife, The Full Monty, CATS, The Elephant Man, Cabaret,) playing 19 characters-men, women, even Yippy the dog-in 90 minutes. With 15-second costume changes and rapid-fire humor, this promises to be an audience favorite.

Director/choreographer Twyla Tharp will be presented with the 2010 I.A.L. Diamond Award for Achievement in the Arts from Columbia University on May 1. Ms. Tharp, who recently opened her new critically acclaimed musical, Come Fly Away, at Broadway's Marquis Theatre, is a 1963 graduate of Columbia's Barnard College.
