Park City Institute presents American Idol alum and country star, Kellie Pickler, at the 2017 St. Regis Big Stars, Bright Nights Concert Series at Deer Valley Resort Outdoor Amphitheater. "People connect with the themes of independence and resilience in Kellie Pickler's music-and her life," says Teri Orr, Park City Institute Executive Director. "We're excited to share her talent for storytelling, and her voice, with our audience, for the first time on our stage."

Pickler, who grew up immersed in country music in the small town of Albermarle, North Carolina, has been praised by Country Music Weekly for her "natural evolution" as an artist, "while managing to stay true to those things that are important to her."

Shaped by the musical influences of Tammy Wynette, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn and Dolly Parton, Pickler has four critically-acclaimed albums, including the gold-certified Small Town Girl, which had a No. 1 Billboard debut. Pickler has won numerous awards for her music and songwriting. Her most recent album, 100 Proof, is her tribute to the music that inspired her to sing. "I love traditional country music," she said. "A little bit of a feel of the people who inspired me is sprinkled throughout the record."

Pickler's performances have been hailed for their charm and personal connection to the audience. The New York Times said she "sees the humor in country music, and its pathos, and its pulpy core, and she sings it with whimsy and complication."

In addition to her recording career and American Idol status, Pickler is a Dancing with the Stars champion. Pickler's support for U.S. Troops has translated into 11 USO tours. She is also a recipient of the Operation Troop Aid Chris Kyle Patriot award. Her St. Regis Big Stars, Bright Nights performance comes just as Pickler prepares to launch of her new talk show, with co-host, journalist Ben Aaron, and produced by Faith Hill.
