"Vain Precaution" - one of the oldest ballet titles. The play, which is the original name of «La Fille mal garde» literally means "Poor prismotrennaya daughter" was first staged in Bordeaux July 1, 1789 by the French choreographer Jean Debervalem. Since then, at whatever stage and in which time does not appear this ballet, he always had full houses. And all because it is not about the history of what some enchanted princes and princesses, but about ordinary people like you and me, that always captivates the audience. Curiously, it is the only extant classical ballet in which the characters were contemporaries viewers on opening day.
This kind, charming and humanly touching story simply can not remain indifferent. The main characters of the ballet Lisa and Colin love with each other, fighting bravely with all the circumstances that hinder their happiness and, of course, win. In Yekaterinburg Viharev set a new stage version of "Vain Precaution" based on fragments of the reconstructed choreography by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov 1880s found them in the archives at Harvard University.
