First of all, I want to note, "stylish" setting, full compliance with the spirit of Paris, French culture abroad XIX - XX centuries (the establishment of the Puccini opera, the first performance of which took place in February 1896).

Performance fanned light "fl?rom" Impressionism, is elegant sets and costumes (especially in the scene "in the Latin Quarter"), refined poses a walking public from time to time stands still, like the heroes of the paintings. The great merit of this decision and the director and the artist working in a unified artistic style.

Artist Igor Ivanov has created an exciting gaming space, giving Parisian landscape features style of Maurice Utrillo. Spacious loft with a view of the prospect of Montmartre, crannies, lovely framed houses opening area, Costumes created with great taste and theater - all creates a carnival atmosphere upbeat. Director, following the logic given by the set designer, mise en scenes unfolds in a picturesque and dynamic picture. But in the face of illness and death, all this life, recreated in elaborate detail, looks defenseless, fake, conditional, as fleeting as a theatrical performance.

Successfully coped with complicated stage and vocal difficulties puchchinievskogo masterpiece, and all the young performers (I was lucky enough to attend the first and third submissions). The image of the delicate and fragile Mimi created Natalia Charles, especially expressive and touching in the final scene. Another performer of the party Veronika Dzhioeva (soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre) won the beauty of the timbre of voice, subtle nuances and dramatic force in the climactic scene.

Excellent performers were all male parties: Vladimir Cheberyak (Rudolph), Alexander Kulga (Marseille), Vladimir Kopitov (Schaunard) and Michael Korobeynikov (Colleen), amounting to a brilliant, played by an ensemble that convincingly recreates the "illusion" of life on the stage. Accurate vocal phrasing, the ability to engage in dialogue, actor's freedom - made with interest, sometimes with a smile, and sometimes in awe of all the ups and downs follow the story (albeit familiar), to sympathize and empathize with the characters. Vocal and acting was good, Harry Aghajanian starring Benoit and Alcindoro, elegant and graceful Irina Bozhenko in party Musetta.

It is impossible not to note the excellent work of the choir (choirmaster - Valery Kopanev). In the scene "in the Latin Quarter" artists of the choir reconstructed elegant, lively, mobile "crowd" of walking, the images of individual characters (nuns, couples, traders, etc.). Remarkable children's choir, blend in this seething joy and fun theatrical performance.
