The Main Street Cruisers perform a high energy show featuring "true to the original" versions of many Rock and Roll hits of the 50's and 60's. They will bring "Dance Stand USA II" to the State Theatre on Saturday, January 10th as a benefit concert for the Freddy Awards.

Show time is 8 PM. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased by visiting the State Theatre Box Office, 453 Northampton Street, Easton, by calling 1-800-999-STATE, 610-252-3132 or online at www.statetheatre.org. Sponsored by News Radio WAEB AM 790. This performance will benefit the non-profit FREDDY© Awards program.

The group's two poodle-skirted female vocalists keep the action flowing with dance routines that have the crowd moving and harmonies that make you believe you are listening to the original artists. With their 50's style bowling shirts, poodle skirts, tux jackets, dance routines and zany comedy The Main Street Cruisers truly take you on a wild ride back to the 50's and 60's.

The Main Street Cruisers have performed at various venues across the area including the State Theatre in the past. Fans may recall seeing them at Easton Heritage Day, Musikfest or at Coca-Cola Park, the home of the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, among other festivals and events. Their two CD's which include many favorite classics including "Pretty Woman", "Great Balls of Fire", "Blue Moon' and "Will You Love Me Tomorrow', have had regular airplay on several Oldies Radio Shows.

The Freddy Awards, also known as the Freddy's, are an annual recognition of outstanding high school musical theatre in the Lehigh Valley area, including the Northampton County and Lehigh County in Pennsylvania, and Warren County in New Jersey. The awards were created in 2003 and are awarded each year during a ceremony at the State Theatre in Easton and are broadcast live on Channel 69 WFMZ-TV.
