Theater Latté Da brings Peter Rothstein’s innovative, award-winning staging to the intimate Ritz Theater. Lyrical and touchingly beautiful, La Bohème is the definitive depiction of the joys and sorrows of love and loss, and a celebration of art in the face of adversity. It is sung in Italian with English surtitles.

BroadwayWorld has a first look at Asolo Repertory Theatre's SWEENEY TODD. The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. It is directed and choreographed by Peter Rothstein, who helmed the theatre's critically acclaimed 2018 production of Ragtime. Featuring music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, a book by Hugh Wheeler and from an adaptation by Christopher Bond, this musical masterwork and global phenomenon previews May 1 - 3, opens May 4 and runs through June 1.

Rehearsals for Theater Latte Da's Once are underway. Winner of 8 Tony Awards including Best Musical, Once features a book by Enda Walsh with music and lyrics by Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova. Theater Latte Da Artistic Director Peter Rothstein directs the production with Music Director Jason Hansen and choreography by Kelli Foster Warder. Performances begin September 12 at the Ritz Theater (345 13th Avenue NE in Minneapolis). Asolo Rep continues its 2017-18 season with the celebrated American musical RAGTIME. Check out video of the cast in action below! Directed by Peter Rothstein, founding artistic director of Theater Latte Da in Minneapolis, RAGTIME features a book by Terrence McNally, music by Stephen Flaherty and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, who all garnered Tony Awards for the production. The original Broadway production was directed by Frank Galati, who received a Tony nomination for his work and is an Associate Artist at Asolo Rep. A collaboration with Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre, RAGTIME is currently on stage through May 27 in the Mertz Theatre, located in the FSU Center for the Performing Arts.

RAGTIME runs at 5th Avenue theatre through November 5! Theater Latte Da continues its season with the classic Broadway musical, Ragtime. It's the turn-of-the-century, everything is changing and anything is possible. Based on E.L. Doctorow's landmark novel, Ragtime is set in the volatile melting pot of New York City. Three distinct American stories are woven together-a determined Jewish immigrant, a daring Harlem musician, and a stifled woman of privilege united by their courage, compassion and belief in a better tomorrow. Together they confront what it means to be an American at the dawn of a new century. With a compelling book by Terrence McNally and a glorious score by Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens, Ragtime was nominated for 13 Tony Awards and was awarded Best Book and Best Score.

Director Peter Rothstein sets Sondheim's fairytale mashup in a Bavarian beer garden with ten actors who take on more than two-dozen characters in this highly theatrical tour-de-force. Check out a promo for the show below!

The Hennepin Theatre Trust presents the 2012/2013 Broadway Season, which features five Minnesota debuts: The Book of Mormon, the multi-Tony Award winning musical blockbuster from the creators of "South Park;" War Horse; Catch Me If You Can; Priscilla Queen of the Desert; and Disney's Beauty and the Beast. Gamblers and gangsters, shysters and low-lifes alike will take over The 5th Avenue Theatre when Guys and Dolls swaggers on to the stage in a swinging reimagining of Frank Loesser's iconic hit (book by Joe Swerling and Abe Burrows.) Featuring beloved hit songs including 'Luck Be a Lady,' 'If I were a Bell,' 'Sit Down, You're Rockin' the Boat,' and the titular song 'Guys and Dolls,' this celebrated ode to American gangsters and the dolls that love them was hailed by the New York Times as 'the show that defines Broadway dazzle,' with Newsweek declaring 'This is why Broadway was born!' POWER BALLADZ - the new rock and roll cabaret musical that features some of the most unforgettable rock anthems of the 70's 80's and 90's - will begin its Off-Broadway run at the Midtown Theater (163 W. 46 St. in Times Square) in August with a series of special weekly events that call to mind the fads, fashions and zeitgeist of that era in pop culture.
