Parlor Night strikes again! Were you there for the latest Broadway pop-up party? This time, the intimate evening was hosted at the luscious Upper East Side townhouse of John Demsey (Group President of Estee Lauder). Demsey's home with its rich hues, magnificent art collection adorning the walls, and second floor living room was once home to Montgomery Clift in the early 1960s and was the hangout for luminaries such as Marilyn Monroe and Marlon Brando. So, it was only fitting that John's home embraced the second installment of Parlor Night to benefit Broadway Inspirational Voices Outreach Program.

The Colored Museum presents 11 hilarious 'exhibits' of African-American culture - from the depths of the Celebrity Slaveship to the spinning heights of Harlem. Tony Award winner George C. Wolfe's groundbreaking comedy has electrified, discomforted, and delighted audiences of all colors, skewering stereotypes and redefining what it means to be black in contemporary America. Directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Billy Porter, it features a wonderful cast with terrific music and dancing, and is a great night out at the theatre.

Producers Scott Morfee, Jean Doumanian and Tom Wirtshafter present the New York premiere of the new play, Hit The Wall by Ike Holter, a theatrical exploration of the first night of the 1969 Stonewall Riots, at the Barrow Street Theatre. Directed by Eric Hoff, with original music & music supervision by Dan Lipton, Hit The Wall opens Sunday, March 10, 2013. Tickets for the production are now on sale.

Priscilla Queen of the Desert began previews last night at the Princess of Wales Theatre. It will have a 12 week pre-Broadway run in Toronto before leaving for Broadway where it opens in March of 2011. Everyone involved will be quick to tell you that the real 'star' of the show is 'Priscilla' herself, and BWW was on hand as Tony Sheldon (Bernadette) introduced 'Priscilla' to the Toronto press. Bette Midler, whose solo Broadway debut at the Palace Theatre is the stuff of showbiz legend, will return to that landmark venue as a producer of this season's eagerly anticipated, PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT THE MUSICAL. The show commences a 12 week pre-Broadway run in Toronto on October 12th, 2010 at The Princess of Wales Theatre, and BWW will be bringing videos, photos and interviews with the team behind the magic that is 'Priscilla.' First up is Will Swenson and cast singing 'I Say A Little Prayer'

As BroadwayWorld just announced, Olivier Award nominee Tony Sheldon and Tony Award® nominee Will Swenson (Hair) will lead the cast of the pre-Broadway North American company of PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT THE MUSICAL, written by Stephan Elliott and Allan Scott and directed by Simon Phillips. The spectacular new stage musical will begin performances at The Prince of Wales Theatre in Toronto for a twelve-week only, pre-Broadway engagement beginning October 12, 2010 and officially opening on October 26.
