Rosie's Theater Kids has just announced the celebration of their 10th anniversary with a star studded Gala in NYC at the Marriot Marquis onWednesday, September 25, 2013. RTKids will commemorate this incredible milestone with a tribute to an extraordinary and deserving individual and longtime supporter: Sheila Nevins, President, HBO Documentary Films. They are thrilled to recognize Sheila for her unwavering commitment to the arts. RTKids will also be awarding the Inaugural Velvet Seat Award to none other than their founder - multiple Emmy Award winning television host and actress - Rosie O'Donnell - whose commitment to the students of RTKids knows no bounds.

The week of September 2, 2013 will mark the first anniversary of Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan's partnership on “LIVE with Kelly and Michael,” and the show is pulling out all the stops with a gala two-week anniversary celebration. A Contemporary Theatre and The 5th Avenue Theatre are excited to announce that the new comedy First Date opens tonight at the Longacre Theatre as the first musical of the 2013-14 Broadway season, starring Zachary Levi and Krysta Rodriguez. First Date received its world premiere in Seattle onstage at ACT Theatre and was co-produced by ACT and The 5th Avenue Theatre in 2012. Man of Steel is the blockbuster hit of the summer, and Michael Shannon, who stars as 'General Zod,' and Zachary Quinto, Star Trek and 'American Horror Story' star, are among the top celebrities scheduled to attend Wizard World Chicago Comic Con, today, August 8-11 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center. The Hollywood Reporter writes that STAR TREK and STAR TREK: INTO DARKNESS scribes Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci are in talks to write the franchise's next film for Paramount and Skydance Productions. Director J.J. Abrams is currently in negotiations to produce STAR TREK 3 through Bad Robot.
