A HANDFUL OF KEYS, one of South Africa's most successful two-hander musical revues, will premiere on Off-Broadway at the Theatre at St. Peter's (home of Drama Desk Award-winning theater group York Theatre Company) on Monday, January 14 and will run until the next day, January 15; both performances will start at 7:30 p.m.

The York Theatre Company has announced a new addition to their educational arm: Bespoke Musicals, a program that pairs teams of emerging writers, chosen by The York Theatre Company, with companies of students from musical theatre college training programs. For its maiden voyage, The York is proud to be collaborating with Marymount Manhattan College (Patricia Hoag Simon, Music Theatre Coordinator).

In honor of comedy legend Carl Reiner's 75 years in the business, Center Theatre Group is presenting a staged reading of "Enter Laughing, The Musical," which is inspired by Reiner's experiences as a young man struggling to break into theatre in New York. The one night only event directed by Stuart Ross ("Forever Plaid"), Mark Taper Forum on Monday, January 28, 2013, at 7:30 p.m. is already sold out.

The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team for the Southern California premiere of The Brothers Size by award-winning playwright Tarell Alvin McCraney. Directed by Tea Alagi?, The Brothers Size will run Jan. 26 - Feb. 24, 2013 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Preview performances run Jan. 26 - Jan. 30. Lucky Star written by Ted Sod and Edie Demas will be read on Monday, January 28th at 7pm at Theater for the New City, 155 First Avenue (between 9th and 10th Streets) New York, NY 10003. Lucky Star is about Jill, a 16-year-old suburban rebel from Piscataway, NJ with an overactive imagination, who has been parented by an ex-drag queen turned florist named Coco Dependent. Jill thinks her biological mother is either Madonna, Beyonce or Amy Winehouse.

Back by popular demand, WORKSHOP THEATER COMPANY is pleased to announce a special, limited engagement of Charles Dickens' A CHRISTMAS CAROL, adapted and performed by Greg Oliver Bodine and directed by Shana Solomon. A CHRISTMAS CAROL will play in The Jewel Box Theater at WorkShop Theater (312 West 36th Street, 4th Floor). Performances begin today, December 16 and continue through Tuesday, December 18. Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) seeks submissions for the 15th Annual TRU VOICES New Plays Reading Series (deadline January 18, 2013 for non-TRU members; January 25, 2013 for TRU members). TheTRU VOICES New Plays Reading Series is a unique series geared towards nurturing the producer-writer relationship, and is particularly interested in finding producers who are looking for opportunities to develop new works. Shows selected will receive staged readings to be presented in June of 2013. Each reading will be followed by a 'Dollars and Sense' panel discussion with prominent New York producers, general managers and artistic directors focusing on potential venues, marketing and budgeting of the work.
