COVER to Play MITF, 7/15-29

The love that dare not speak its name becomes exactly that in Bill McMahon's heart-tugging work Cover, a play which examines the fault lines found in even the most committed relationships. Produced by Tony Award-winning producer Jim Kierstead and directed by Paul J. Michael, Cover will be performed Tuesday, July 15 at 6pm, Thursday, July 17 at 7:45pm, Saturday, July 26 at 4:15pm, Sunday, July 27 at 7pm, Monday, July 28 at 7:30pm and Tuesday, July 29 at 6pm at the Dorothy Strelsin Theatre, located at 312 West 36th Street.

The York Theatre Company just presented its one-night only benefit concert, NEO 10, celebrating up and coming musical theatre writers, on Monday evening, June 2, 2014 The York Theatre Company's home at Saint Peter's (entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue). The NEO 10 concert featured songs by this year's NEO writers: Bobby Cronin, Gabriel Kahane, Shaina Taub, andSam Willmott. The evening will also include songs by guest writers (and past NEO honorees) Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. The evening, directed by Annette Jolles, with music direction by David Shenton, included previously announced performances by Starr Busby, Liz Callaway, Kate Ferber, Grace Mclean, Andy Mientus, Kristin Sieh, Phillipa Soo, and the ensemble from Marymount Manhattan College. Dixon Place is proud the HOT! serves as the model for other queer festivals across the globe and has become a performance destination for emerging talent in the LGBTQ community. The York Theatre Company celebrates the great American lyricist Marshall Barer (Once Upon a Mattress) with a special concert event, The Marshall Barer Project, a musical tour through the life, career and mind of a man whose songs are shimmering jewels from the American Songbook. Starring BJ Ward with special guest Michael Feinstein.
