Philadelphia Theatre Company announces BILL CAIN as the first recipient of the Terrence McNally New Play Award for the research and development of his newest play about Philadelphia artist Thomas Eakins which has the working title Unvarnished. The Terrence McNally New Play Award is a $10,000 cash prize given annually to recognize a new play that celebrates the transformative power of art. The Award will also include a year of development support at PTC, including readings as well as administrative support and networking to help manage the future of the play beyond its time at PTC.

The Painted Bride Art Center will give Philadelphia audiences a glimpse into 'an untold story from American history' as it continues the build-up to the World Premiere of Ain Gordon and Nadine Patterson's Place Philadelphia in 2013. The three-time Obie Winner, Gordon, is presenting his one-woman show, In This Place… Thursday, March 8-Saturday, March 10 at 8 p.m. at the Painted Bride Arts Center, 230 Vine Street. Title 66 Productions invites Montreal to attend the trial of the Devil, presented at Theatre Rouge in the Conservatoire d'art dramatique de Montreal through March 4th. If he can prove that humanity is indeed culpable for many of his alleged crimes, he may return to paradise forever. From the creative mind of Clive Barker, master engineer of fantasy and horror, The History of the Devil tells the satiric tale of the Devil's trial at the hands of the human race, with whom he's shared the world for millennia.

Tickets for Cameron Mackintosh's new 25th anniversary production of Les Miserables will go on sale Thursday, March 1 for the premiere Indianapolis engagement at Clowes Memorial Hall. Harris will become the twenty-ninth boy to play the title role in the West End and the 64th boy to play the role worldwide, including Jamie Bell who played Billy Elliot in the award-winning film. He is joined by Dayna who plays Debbie, dance teacher Mrs Wilkinson's daughter.
