Production Begins on ABC Family's HOME AGAIN, Feat. Jennie Garth & Cameron Mathison

Muse Entertainment, in association with ABC Family, will begin production this week on the new original Thanksgiving movie "Home Again" (working title). Jennie Garth ("Beverly Hills, 90210," "What I Like About You") and Cameron Mathison ("Dancing with the Stars," "All My Children," "Good Morning America") will star in the movie, which is set to premiere as part of the network's annual "Countdown to 25 Days of Christmas" programming event in November, 2013. Also cast in the movie is Mary Kay Place ("The Big Chill," "The West Wing," "Big Love").

American Lyric Theater presents the second public libretto reading for the 2012-2013 season as part of its popular series, The Living Libretto, at the National Opera Center on January 21, 2013. Featuring guest actors from the Broadway and off-Broadway stage, each event is the culminating reading of extensive libretto workshops conducted for new operas currently being written by ALT Resident Artists.

OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network announced today new programming for 2013 including four new original series coming later this year: 'Blackboard Wars,' 'Golden Sisters,' 'Raising Whitley' (working title) and 'Dogfellas' (working title). OWN's first scripted series from Tyler Perry, the one-hour drama 'The Haves and the Have Nots' and half-hour comedy series 'Love Thy Neighbor,' are set to premiere on Wednesday, May 29. In addition, the network's popular original series return with all-new episodes including 'Oprah's Master Class,' 'Oprah: Where Are They Now?,' 'Oprah's Next Chapter' and 'Iyanla: Fix My Life.'

On the ninth of January, David Basse returns to New York's Metropolitan Room to join his pal Marilyn Maye for a double bill. Maye performs at 7pm with Basse doing the 9:30pm set. Basse's band will include veteran bassist Curtis Lundy, pianist Richard Johnson, and drummer Jason Brown.

Seattle Repertory Theatre announced the line-up for its first New Play Festival in Winter 2013, including four plays-in-progress from three Seattle playwrights and a native Idahoan. From tonight, Jan. 5 to Feb. 3, Seattle Rep will present workshops and readings of new works by Robert Schenkkan (By the Waters of Babylon, The Kentucky Cycle), Samuel D. Hunter (A Bright New Boise, The Whale), and Elizabeth Heffron (New Patagonia, Mitzi's Abortion). Newcomer Justin Huertas rounds out the group with an innovative debut. Established Northwest directors Sheila Daniels (Dancing at Lughnasa, Seattle Rep; Ramayana, ACT) and Artistic Director Jerry Manning (I Am My Own Wife, Of Mice and Men) will direct.

A&E Network has lassoed its newest original real life series 'Rodeo Girls' (working title) from The Weinstein Company. Pre-production has commenced on the network's eight one-hour episode order. The announcement was made today by David McKillop, Executive Vice President of Programming for A&E Network and BIO Channel.

According to Showbiz411, country music star Taylor Swift had vied for the role of 'Eponine' in the blockbuster film LES MISERABLES. The news was revealed at a recent party when Les Mis producer Cameron Mackintosh told the site's Paula Schwartz that the young pop star had auditioned for the role.
