Atlantic Theater Company has just announced four of its 2012-2013 Season productions, featuring world premiere plays from Olivier and Tony Award® winner John Guare and Obie Award winner Melissa James Gibson and New York premieres from Olivier Award winner Simon Stephens and Emmy Award® nominated writer Rolin Jones.
Diane Kruger, Alexander Payne Among Jury Members of 65th Cannes Film Festival

Diane Kruger and Alexander Payne will be among the Jury of the Competition at the 65th Cannes Film Festival. The jury will have to decide between the 22 films in Competition in order to select the winners, to be announced on stage during the Closing Ceremony on May 27th, culminating in the announcement of the Palme d'or.

Thus begins the farcical antics of the Woody Allen play, Don't Drink the Water, presented by Synergy Ensemble Theatre Company in their last show of the season. Almost 50 years since its premiere on Broadway, the humor holds up well in this production, directed by J. Timothy Conlon. But it doesn't always pack the punch it should due to sluggish pacing and some missed cues. Call it first-night jitters but this cast as a whole seemed to ease into their roles as the show went on before settling into a fine routine.

The original cast of Off-Broadway's FREUD'S LAST SESSION, is returning to the New York production on Wednesday, May 2nd at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street). Original cast members Mark H. Dold and Martin Rayner, as C. S. Lewis and Sigmund Freud respectively, will be ending their run in the Chicago production of Mark St. Germain's hit play on April 29th.

FREUD'S LAST SESSION by Mark St. Germain, now in its second successful year in New York, and currently running at the Mercury Theater (3745 N. Southport, Chicago) will host a birthday celebration in honor of the anniversary of Sigmund Freud's 156th birthday on Sunday, May 6. Following both performances that day, audiences will have the opportunity to meet and greet with the cast members and snack on cupcakes. One lucky audience member will be selected to receive a "Freudian Slip" by Cosabella, courtesy of Chicago's G Boutique.

Legendary film director Peter Bogdanovich attended FREUD'S LAST SESSION at New World Stages this past Saturday, April 7th to see George Morfogen and Jim Stanek, who recently joined the production as Sigmund Freud and C. S. Lewis respectively.
