Comic-Con legend Kevin Smith, rock band The Bacon Brothers - featuring The Following star Kevin Bacon - and a night of standup comedy from NerdMelt will headline three days and nights of fun, free and fan-tastic outdoor entertainment as Warner Bros. Presents the 'Extra at Comic-Con' stage in San Diego's Bayfront Park, from today, July 12 through July 14 during the world's leading pop culture convention. Also announced today: free nighttime screenings of The Goonies, Friday the 13th (2009) and Beetlejuice, presented by Flixster.

IMAX Corporation (NYSE:IMAX; TSX:IMX) and The Walt Disney Studios today announced that Tim Burton's stop-motion, animated film, Frankenweenie will be digitally re-mastered into the immersive IMAX® 3D format and released in IMAX® digital theatres worldwide day-and-date on Oct. 5, 2012. The film marks the first black and white Hollywood feature and first stop-motion animated movie to be presented in IMAX.

The Grand Theater and Salt Lake Film Society present a free screening of the film "The Crucible", Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. at the Grand Theatre, 1575 South State Street. This 1996 film, starring Winona Ryder as Abigail Williams, Daniel Day-Lewis as John Proctor, and Joan Allen as Elizabeth Proctor is set in 17th century Salem, Massachusetts. Adapted from the Arthur Miller classic play of the same name, "The Crucible" tells the story of a spurned young woman who accuses an ex-lover's wife of witchery. Joan Allen won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in this film.
