Cherry Lane Theatre announced the 2015 line-up today for the Obie Award-winning Mentor Project's 17th season, the corner stone of Cherry Lane Theatre's development programs.

Circle X Theatre Co. is thrilled to announce the West Coast premiere of TREVOR, written by Nick Jones (Writer/Co-Producer 'Orange is the New Black') and directed by Stella Powell-Jones, starring Laurie Metcalf and Jimmi Simpson. TREVOR will preview tonight, March 5; Friday, March 6; Saturday, March 7; Thursday, March 12 & Friday, March 13 at 8pm and will open on Saturday, March 14 and run through Sunday, April 19 at Atwater Village Theatre, 3269 Casitas Ave. in Los Angeles, 90039.

The 2015 - 2016 season at Playhouse on the Square will begin with the heart-warming and inspiring Billy Elliot the Musical. The Broadway hit garnered ten Tony Awards in 2009, including Best Musical. Set in an English mining town against the turbulent and violent 1984 miners' strike, Billy Elliot the Musical tells the tale of a young boy who trades his boxing gloves for dancing shoes and inspires audiences to believe in themselves.

Center Stage announces the casts and crew of the Amy Herzog Festival, the first time Herzog's 4000 Miles and After the Revolution will be produced together. The festival is March 18 to May 24, with the plays alternating every two weeks.

Tony Award-winning costume designer, JESS GOLDSTEIN (currently represented on Broadway with Jersey Boys and On the Town), and scenic designer DOUGLAS W. SCHMIDT are among the 2015 TDF/Irene Sharaff Awards recipients. The awards will be presented at a ceremony on Friday, May 1, at 6:30pm, at the Hudson Theatre (145 West 44th Street). Mr. Goldstein was selected to receive the 2015 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award for costume design and Mr. Schmidt will receive the Robert L.B. Tobin Award for Sustained Excellence in Theatrical Design.

Natalie Birriel is proud to announce a performance of her autobiographical solo show Speak! at LaGuardia Performing Arts Center on March 28th at 7:30 pm. Directed by Andreas Robertz, Speak! is a 90's music driven show about Natalie's journey from being a stutterer who couldn't say her own name to not being able to shut up! Speak! is a heartbreakingly funny and inspirational tale for anyone who has ever felt held back from saying what they truly wanted to say! This special performance is part of the Rough Draft Festival at LaGuardia Community College in Long Island City.

Following a sold-out 2013 debut at 54 Below, Tony Award nominee Euan Morton returns to the acclaimed Manhattan nightspot to launch his newest project, I (Heart) THE CARPENTERS. Backed by the newly-formed Downey CA Collective, Mr. Morton will perform songs made famous by the all-American jazz/pop duo Richard and Karen Carpenter. Lincoln Center Theater welcomes Mamoudou Athie, Diane Lane, Gayle Rankin, and Tony Shalhoub in its production of The Mystery of Love and Sex, a new play by Bathsheba Doran. The production, which is directed by Sam Gold, began previews on February 5 and opens tonight, March 2, at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (150 West 65 Street).

This week Connecticut Repertory Theatre will open a new adaptation of Lysistrata by Jen Wineman and the world premiere of Band of the Black Hand, a collaboration with Split Knuckle Theatre. CRT launched its season with Michael Bradford's Olives and Blood, a new play that had only been produced twice before.

Producers announced today that Tony® Award-winner Donna McKechnie will be the STANDBY for the lead role of Claire Zachannassian in the highly anticipated musical, The Visit, soon to open on Broadway. Classic Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick, Managing Director Jeff Griffin and Executive Director Greg Reiner, announced complete casting today for their upcoming production of William Shakespeare's HAMLET, starring acclaimed actor Peter Sarsgaard as Hamlet, and directed by Austin Pendleton.

The Drama Desk and Obie Award-winning Keen Company presents the first New York revival of John & Jen, the musical with music by Andrew Lippa, lyrics by Tom Greenwald, and a book by Greenwald and Lippa. The show officially opens tonight, February 26th at The Clurman Theatre at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues).

The Old Globe is delighted to welcome one of the true geniuses of the American theatre, Tony Award winner Mary Zimmerman, who makes her long-awaited San Diego directing debut with an enchanting theatrical spectacle with live music and sumptuous visuals, The White Snake, continuing the Globe's 80th Anniversary festivities as part of the Balboa Park Centennial Celebration. The Southern California Premiere of The White Snake, written and directed by Zimmerman, will run March 21 through April 26 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Preview performances run March 21 through 25. Opening night is Thursday, March 26 at 8:00 p.m.

PAGE 73 has awarded Nick Gandiello the 2015 P73 Playwriting Fellowship. Gandiello, who was selected from more than 450 applicants, will receive the company's top prize, which includes a $10,000 award and additional $10,000 budgeted for developing several new plays over the course of the year. Page 73 will also produce at least one public workshop for Gandiello this year.
