The Lied Center for Performing Arts at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln has announced its 23nd season of world-class performing artists. The 2012-13 season includes 52 performances of 36 shows from a wide range of categories including Broadway, popular music, comedy, dance, classical music, world music and jazz, family offerings and theater. More than half of the 36 scheduled shows will make their first appearance at the Lied Center. See below for details.

Television and movie legend William Shatner brings his one man show SHATNER'S WORLD: WE JUST LIVE IN IT to The Palace Theatre in Stamford on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 8:00 PM. This tour follows a three week run earlier this year at Broadway's Music Box Theatre from February 14 - March 4 and a successful tour of 15 cities across the U.S. Tickets are on sale now. Stephen Sorrentino-Voices In My Head will have its West Coast Premiere at the El Portal Theatre in North Hollywood, tonight, October 10 through Sunday, October 14. The production is slated to coincide with the "Voices In My Head" DVD release on the national tour.

The Martin E. Segal Theatre Center at the Graduate Center, CUNY has unveiled the artist lineup and program schedule for the highly anticipated PRELUDE.12, the ninth annual PRELUDE festival dedicated to artists at the forefront of contemporary New York City theatre, dance, interdisciplinary and mediatized performance. In its largest lineup ever, PRELUDE.12 will present over 40 short performances, readings, and screenings -as well as panel discussions with artists, scholars and performers.

The Shakespeare Center of Los Angeles (SCLA) presents its 22(nd) annual Simply Shakespeare reading of 'A Midsummer Night's Dream,' September 27 at the Freud Playhouse, UCLA Campus. This event features a star-studded tie-dyed cast of hilarious hippies for an evening filled with peace, love reading a psychedelic 1960's adaptation of Shakespeare's play that includes iconic music of the era.
