SARA WEBB and IAN CASADY will appear as guest artists in the Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet's performances of The Nutcracker on December 3 and 4, 2011 at the Riverview Theatre in Shreveport, Louisiana.

The Joyce Theater Foundation will present Houston Ballet, performing for the first time on the Joyce's intimate stage, from October 11 - 16, 2011.

The Joyce Theater Foundation, Inc. has announced updated programming for the two free performances it is presenting on September 10 and 11 at 5pm in Nelson A. Rockefeller Park (North end of Battery Park City, west of River Terrace) to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of September 11, 2001.

To kick off its 2011-2012 fall/winter season, The Joyce Theater is thrilled to present two one-week engagements by two of the world's leading flamenco artists from Spain, Israel Galván and Soledad Barrio & Noche Flamenco. Israel Galván will open the season with a solo performance from September 20-25. From September 27 - October 2, Soledad Barrio & Noche Flamenco, the company founded by Barrio in 1993 with her husband Artistic Director Martin Santangelo, will delight audiences with several pieces, including a New York premiere.

Classical virtuosity and wit are the hallmarks of 3e étage, a contemporary ballet ensemble formed by and featuring dancers and soloists of the legendary Paris Opera Ballet.

For Damian Drake, one of Nashville Ballet's versatile and accomplished company members, 'a fantastic quality about dance as an art form is how it encompasses other artists to create together as a community,' exemplifying the collaborative nature of dance, whether classic or contemporary. As an integral member of the company, Drake has been featured in numerous works with the company since first joining the creative collective that has made Music City's homegrown ballet company one of the nation's artistic leaders - and one of the Nashville's best-attended performing arts groups.

The NORDC/NOBA Center for Dance (CFD), a cultural community partnership of the New Orleans Recreation Development Commission and the New Orleans Ballet Association, in collaboration with Friends of NORD, begins its annual Summer Intensive dance program today at Tulane University's McWilliams Hall.

Kidd Pivot Frankfurt RM (Kidd Pivot), the acclaimed contemporary dance company led by choreographer Crystal Pite, performs her virtuosic and enigmatic work Dark Matters at Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival July 6-10.

Switzerland's acclaimed Ballet du Grand Theatre de Geneve returns to Jacob's Pillow for the first time since its 2007 U.S. debut, June 22-26 in the Ted Shawn Theatre.
