Under the helm of sought after Los Angeles theatre Director Todd Nielsen, the Tony Award-winning Musical 1776 will be presented at the Glendale Centre Theatre June 23 - August 13, 2011. With Music and Lyrics by Sherman Edwards, Book by Peter Stone, and Musical Direction by the award-winning Steven Applegate, 1776 premiered on Broadway in 1969 and is based on the events leading up to the drafting and signing of the Declaration of Independence.

From its first Broadway production with Robert Morse in 1961 to the current version starring Daniel Radcliffe, the Frank Loesser/Abe Burrows musical HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING has been a real audience favorite, winning multiple Tony Awards and even a Pulitzer Prize.

Based on the hit 1980 movie and featuring Dolly Parton's original title song and new Tony Award® and Grammy®-nominated score, the all-new national tour of 9 to 5: The Musical punches its timecard at Starlight Theatre for six performances on June 21-26.
