Last night was TV's top honors and the queen bee of the night was undoubtedly host Jane Lynch, who rocked the amphitheatre from beginning to end and proved to be a host to boast she is the most of the most - and among the best. The very best. Neil Patrick Harris and Hugh Jackman better watch out now with Jane in town! The rest of the Emmys evening was filled with a few thrilling surprises and some very unexpected upsets, chiefly among them: Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell's MODERN FAMILY wins as the show proceeded to sweep most of the Comedy categories, including Best Comedy for the second year in a row; and, in Drama, Peter Dinklage taking top honors for his ingratiating GAME OF THRONES turn and Kyle Chandler taking home the prize for the final season of FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS. Grandiloquent DOWNTON ABBEY was shown some serious love in the form of Oscar-winning GOSFORD PARK scribe's Julian Fellowes writing win, Maggie Smith for her supporting role, Brian Percival for directing; as was HBO's MILDRED PIERCE - with Guy Pearce and Kate Winslet scoring the big wins - yet the picaresque big-budget series ultimately lost Best Miniseries to the UK-bred DOWNTON ABBEY, where it was somewhat unfairly juxtaposed by most accounts - and, surprising no one coming after its superb fourth season, MAD MEN expectedly took home Best Drama Series. NBC offers an advance look at its new and returning fall 2011 series via multiple broadcast, digital, NBCUniversal and cable entities with 'The NBC Primetime Preview Show,' a vibrant 30-minute presentation now through September 25.

NBC has joined with national retailer Bloomingdale's to create a unique and engaging partnership in September that invites consumers to 'look the part and be the part,' spotlighting several new fall series and the Bloomingdale's fashion brands. The venture involves NBC's new shows and talent inclusion in Bloomingdale's glossy fall catalogs for women, men and home, an in-store interactive digital experience that allows shoppers to walk the red carpet and, using cutting edge technology, download and be photographed with NBC new series stars.

ANIMATION DOMINATION kicks off this fall with a star-studded lineup of guest voices on returning favorite animated series THE SIMPSONS, THE CLEVELAND SHOW, FAMILY GUY and AMERICAN DAD premiering Sunday, Sept. 25 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. New kid on the block, ALLEN GREGORY, sets out on his first day of school Sunday, Oct. 30 (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT).

IFC announced today that Jon Hamm (Mad Men) will guest star in the second season of IFC's original comedy series, The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret, which will premiere in January 2012. Hamm is featured along side stars David Cross and Will Arnett in five of the series' six brand new half-hour episodes. Additionally, musician Johnny Marr returns to score and perform the series' original music to compliment the existing original pieces he created for season one.

According to an exclusive report in Entertainment Weekly, James Spader may become a permanent fixture on NBC's 'The Office.' While he has long been rumored to be a candidate to replace Steve Carell, EW.com reports that Spader is actually in talks to replace Kathy Bates as the CEO of Dunder Mifflin.
