After breaking box office records and selling out in record time when the show last played Boston, WICKED, the smash-hit musical, will return to the Boston Opera House for a limited engagement September 1 - October 17. Tickets for the return engagement go on sale this Sunday, April 11th.

Mandy Gonzalez, who originated the role of Nina in the Broadway musical, In the Heights, joined WICKED as Elphaba in late March and we've got her first official photos!

Beginning performances on Tuesday, March 23, MANDY GONZALEZ, who originated the role of Nina in the Broadway musical, In the Heights, will assume the role of Elphaba in the musical blockbuster WICKED. Mandy joins a cast which includes Katie Rose Clarke as Glinda, Tony Award-winner Rondi Reed as Madame Morrible, P.J. Benjamin as The Wizard, Andy Karl as Fiyero, Alex Brightman as Boq, Jenny Fellner as Nessarose, and Timothy Britten Parker as Dr. Dillamond. The role of Elphaba is currently being played by Dee Roscioli.

The first North American National Tour of WICKED will celebrate its five year anniversary on Saturday, March 20, at the Sanford and Dolores Ziff Ballet Opera House in Miami. Since its first performance in Toronto in March 2005, over 5.5 million people have seen the first North American National Tour of WICKED.

Tickets for the return engagement go on sale Friday, March 19, with a special On-sale event from 7-10 a.m. at the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center Box Office. The National Tour of the hit musical WICKED will welcome two new cast members on March 10th. Natalie Daradich will join the cast as Glinda and Chris Peluso will take over the role of Fiyero when the tour reaches its stop in Richmond, Virgina at the Landmark Theatre.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts announced its 2010-2011 theater programming. Barbara Cook's Spotlight will bring six theater cabaret performers in its fourth season, and audiences will delight in touring productions of Hair, Rodgers & Hammerstein's South Pacific, Wicked, and Next to Normal.
