Actress and comedian Wanda Sykes will debut her award-winning routine at The Mirage Friday, March 11 and Saturday, March 12. Sykes, one of the '25 Funniest People in America,' according to Entertainment Weekly, will take the stage at 10 p.m. both nights inside the Terry Fator Theatre.

Batman, producers of GAYFEST NYC, Inc., the country's premier arts organization devoted to the discovery, development and production of new LGBT-themed plays, have announced its Annual Gala, Spring At Last!, benefitting the students of Harvey Milk High School, will be held Monday, March 21, 2011 at Loews Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue) with special guest appearances by Wanda Sykes, Michael Urie and Lance Horne.

The sixth annual South Beach Comedy Festival will take place from March 2 through March 5, it was announced today by Geof Wills, president, comedy at Live Nation. The roster for this year's four day, multi-cultural event will feature top acts from the comedy world including Doug Benson, Bill Burr, Adam Carolla, Kevin Hart, Gabriel Iglesias, Kathleen Madigan, Wanda Sykes, as well as a host of up-and-coming comedians. COMEDY CENTRAL returns as the national media partner and Live Nation as the sole producer of the Festival, handling all marketing, PR, talent booking and production.

Wanda Sykes will be dealing with a little red-haired orphan a week longer than originally planned. Her performance as Miss Hannigan in The Media Theatre's 'Annie' is so popular the show has been extended one week and will now close on January 23. (Sykes is currently on hiatus from the production, but returns Jan. 12. Popular Philly actress Mary Martello takes on the iconic Hannigan now through Jan. 9)

Wanda Sykes is currently leading the Media Theatre's production of ANNIE as 'Miss Hannigan' - the iconic child-hating orphanage director with an affinity for alcoholic beverages - this holiday season. Sykes opened the production on November 23 and had been scheduled to close the production on January 16, 2011 following a Christmas absence. As BroadwayWorld reported back in August, comedian Wanda Sykes will be leading the Media Theatre's production of ANNIE as 'Miss Hannigan' - the iconic child-hating orphanage director with an affinity for alcoholic beverages - this holiday season. Sykes will open the production on November 23 and close the production on January 16, 2011 following a Christmas absence. The production will be directed by Media Artistic Director Jesse Cline and musical directed by Tom Fosnocht. Rehearsals began November 8, 2011.
