On November 8th, A Christmas Story, The Musical! launched its National Tour at The Hershey Theatre in Hershey, PA. America's #1 Christmas movie comes to life on stage as hilarious holiday musical featuring a bright holiday score by composer/lyricist team Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, and a book by Joseph Robinette based on the writings of radio humorist Jean Shepherd and the 1983 holiday film favorite. Tony Award winner John Rando (Urinetown, The Wedding Singer) will direct the production with Warren Carlyle (Finian's Rainbow, Follies, An Evening With Hugh Jackman) choreographing. Peter Billingsley, who starred as Ralphie in the original 1983 film, serves as a producer for the holiday tour.

This holiday season, America's #1 Christmas movie comes to life on stage as a hilarious holiday musical. A Christmas Story, The Musical! features a bright holiday score by composer/lyricist team Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, and a book by Joseph Robinette based on the writings of radio humorist Jean Shepherd and the 1983 holiday film favorite. Steppenwolf Theatre Company continues its 2011/12 season with Time Stands Still by Donald Margulies, directed by ensemble member Austin Pendleton, playing January 19 - May 13, 2012 in Steppenwolf's Upstairs Theatre, 1650 N. Halsted St. Time Stands Still features ensemble members Francis Guinan and Sally Murphy with Randall Newsome and Kristina Valada-Viars. The press performances are Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 3 pm and Tuesday, January 31 at 7:30 pm.

This original musical for Broadway's next generation ran through August 28, 2011 at The Norma Terris Theatre in Chester, Conn., Goodspeed's home for developing new works.
