The Oscar-nominated actress Patricia Clarkson - whose many stage credits include the Nicky Silver plays RAISED IN CAPTIVITY and THE MAIDEN'S PRAYER at the Vineyard Theatre - will be the featured guest at a "Vineyard Voices" evening at the theatre (108 E. 15 St.) on Monday, December 13 at 7 p.m., it has been announced by Douglas Aibel, Artistic Director of the Vineyard Theatre.

One of the most anticipated Broadway Musicals of the season, THE SCOTTSBORO BOYS, featuring the creative team including legendary musical theatre composer John Kander, Tony and Emmy-nominated book writer David Thompson, five-time Tony Award-winning director/choreographer Susan Stroman, and the acclaimed cast met the press in anticipation of their Broadway opening this fall. The Amoralists will extend the New York Premiere of Ghosts in the Cottonwoods, written and directed by Adam Rapp. Ghosts in the Cottonwoods, originally set to close on December 6, will continue its Off-Broadway run through December 12 at Theatre 80 St. Marks, located at 80 St. Marks Place between 1st and 2nd Avenues in NYC.

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater continues its 16th season with the world premiere of There Are No More Big Secrets written by Obie Award-winner Heidi Schreck and directed by Kip Fagan.

The Wall Street Journal reports today that THE SCOTTSBORO BOYS may return to Broadway in the Spring for a repeat run just before the Tony Awards. According to the report, once THE SCOTTSBORO BOYS shutters in on Sunday, the producers are 'planning to put together a national tour for the musical and [hope] to bring it back to Broadway for a limited run before the Tony Awards in the spring.'

The New York Philharmonic will present Stephen Sondheim's groundbreaking Company, with an all-star cast led by Neil Patrick Harris, star of the hit television series, How I Met Your Mother, on April 7-9, 2011. The award-winning musical will be produced and directed by Lonny Price, who directed and co-produced last season's SONDHEIM: The Birthday Concert!, and will be conducted by Sondheim specialist Paul Gemignani, with the original orchestrations for a 35-piece orchestra by Jonathan Tunick. Casting has been completed for the Broadway premiere of Rajiv Joseph's play BENGAL TIGER AT THE BAGHDAD ZOO - set to begin previews March 11 and open March 31 at the Richard Rodgers Theatre (226 W. 46 St.), starring Robin Williams in his Broadway acting debut - it has been announced by the play's producers Robyn Goodman, Kevin McCollum, Jeffrey Seller and Center Theatre Group.

Deadline.com reports today that Precious mastermind Lee Daniels has his eye on a screen adaptation of Kander & Ebb's SCOTTSBORO BOYS, playing out its final performances at the Lyceum Theatre on Broadway. According to the report: 'While The Scottsboro Boys ends its Broadway run on December 12 at the Lyceum Theatre, there are flickers of hope that the last collaboration between songwriting legends John Kander and Fred Ebb will have a feature future. I'm told that Oscar-nominated Precious director Lee Daniels has seen the show several times and is in early conversations to develop it.'
