Morrisville's intimate Heritage Center Theatre will rock with laughter September 12th to 28th as ActorsNET stages the regional premiere of Bo Wilson's hilarious new comic drama, The Charitable Sisterhood of the Second Trinity Victory Church.

Everyone's favorite ogre comes to Mercer County Community College's Kelsey Theatre when the award-winning Maurer Productions OnStage (MPO) presents 'Shrek the Musical,' a song-and-dance-filled adaptation of the Oscar-winning DreamWorks animated film. Dates and times for this special family event are: Fridays, May 30 and June 6 at 8 p.m.; Saturdays, May 31 and June 7 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.; and Sundays, June 1 and 8 at 2 p.m. A reception with the cast and crew will follow the opening night performance on May 30.

Two questions: How hard would it be to write the screenplay to Gone with the Wind if you'd never read the Margaret Mitchell book? And how hard would it be to direct Gone with the Wind if you were pulled away from directing The Wizard of Oz to direct this Civil War era epic?

Actors' NET Co-Founder Joe Doyle directs a veteran cast in this comedy, as producer David O. Selznick, writer Ben Hecht and director Victor Fleming totally rewrite the shooting script for Gone with the Wind over five frenetic days and nights - the men acting out all the parts as they go along! Steve Lobis of Morrisville co-stars as Selznick, alongside David Newhouse of Middletown as Hecht and David Swartz of Ambler as Fleming. Featuring Margaret DeAngelis of New Hope as Selznick's secretary, Miss Poppenghul. James Cordingley of Lawrenceville, NJ assistant directs. Vicky Czarnik of Levittown stage manages. INTO THE WOODS: James Lapine wrote the book and the incomparable Stephen Sondheim the words and music for this fractured fairytale - the story of a childless baker and his wife, who attempt to reverse a curse in order to have a child. Act I ends with all ready to live 'happily ever after.'

The Sondheim-Lapine musical runs at the Heritage Center, 635 N. Delmorr Avenue (Route 32), Morrisville, from July 9 to 25. Show times are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m., with additional shows at 8 p.m. on Thursday 7/15 and 7/22 at 8 p.m. and Saturday 7/24 at 2 p.m.
