Producers of the Tony Award winning MATILDA THE MUSICAL announced today that Craig Bierko and Jill Paice will join the company as Miss Trunchbull and Miss Honey, respectively, on September 3. Bertie Carvel and Lauren Ward will play their final performances in those roles on September 1.

The production previewed for one performance only on July 12, 2013 exactly 20 years to the day after the show's world premiere. Simon Evans directs the world premiere of this exciting new play by Maureen Chadwick, creator and writer of award-winning dramas Bad Girls, Footballers' Wives and Waterloo Road. The Speed Twins, which runs for five weeks at Riverside Studios 3 from Thursday 29 August - Saturday 28 September, is an exhilarating, intriguing and moving story about a long lost love between two women. Press night is Tuesday 3 September at 7.45pm.

There have been a number of changes and additions to the programme for Edinburgh Festival 2013 since the launch in March. The Festival has announced the casts for Gate Theatre Dublin's productions of Eh Joe and First Love.

According to the Daily Mail, Holly Dale Spencer is starring in the Lost Musicals' revival of Noel Coward's WORDS AND MUSIC, which begins performances tonight, July 14, and runs through August 4, 2013 at the Lillian Baylis Theatre. This will be the first London revival of the show since 1932.

Theatre Royal Bath has announced Richard Wilson will star in the final production of its Summer Season, A Little Hotel On The Side directed by Lindsay Posner and Cal McCrystal. Adapted by John Mortimer, this hilarious comedy by Georges Feydeau and Maurice Desvallieres will appear at Theatre Royal Bath from Thursday 15th August - Saturday 31st August.

David Abeles (Once, Original Cast Member) will take over the role of 'Pierre' in the hit downtown production of NATASHA, PIERRE & THE GREAT COMET OF 1812 beginning tonight, July 9th. Dave Malloy, the show's creator, played his final performance as 'Pierre' on June 21st, as he leaves to work on several new projects including commissions from LCT3, San Francisco's American Conservatory Theater, and the Youth Musical Theater Company in Berkeley, as well as upcoming shows at the Incubator Arts Project and The Bushwick Starr.

Jermyn Street Theatre today announces its first full season under Anthony Biggs, with a series of challenging, exciting and contrasting productions set to ignite this studio theatre in the heart of the West End. The 1950 Oscar-winning motion picture of the same title first starred screen legends Gloria Swanson (as Norma Desmond) and William Holden (as Joe Gillis) before it opened as a musical in London's West End starring Patti LuPone and Kevin Anderson at the Adelphi Theatre July 12, 1993 where it ultimately ran for 1529 performances.
