Attending the 13th Annual Hispanic Organization of Latin Actors (HOLA) Awards presented by Delta Air Lines tonight, October 8, 2012 will be SAG-AFTRA elected leadership reps that include national SAG-AFTRA Co- President, Roberta Reardon and national SAG-AFTRA Co-Treasurer and Co-Secretary, Amy Aquino. Also joining the celebration will be Tony Plana, Tony Shalhoub, Brooke Adams and CNN's Jane Vélez-Mitchell. Sundance Institute today announced the acting company and creative advisors for the eight projects being developed at its 2012 Theatre Lab, July 9-29 at the Sundance Resort. Under the supervision of Philip Himberg, Producing Artistic Director, and Associate Director Christopher Hibma, the Lab is the centerpiece of the Theatre Program's year-round work and is designed to support emerging and established artists and to create a place where their original work can be effectively mentored and challenged.

Broadway's Will Chase will be tonight's guest star on the season finale of the USA network's Royal Pains. Chase will play MS patient Benjamin Richards, a Hamptonite hosting his annual MS Fundraiser, and looks to hire someone to launch his foundation's new philanthropic effort- a fleet of mobile medical clinics in developing nations. When Benjamin experiences symptoms associated with MS flare-ups, HankMed treats him and discovers something altogether different is effecting his health.

The Equal Employment Opportunities Committees of Actors' Equity Association (AEA), the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA) and Screen Actors Guild (SAG) announced the 8th Annual Ivy Bethune Tri-Union Diversity Awards, recognizing performers and arts organizations who, through their work and activism, have fostered diversity within the entertainment and news media industries and their communities.

Resident Artistic Associate Henry Godinez curated the ambitious Festival that appeared June 19 - July 25 for an audience of more than 50,000 on both of the Goodman's stages: the 856-seat Albert and the 400-seat flexible Owen, as well as the Jay Pritzker Pavilion and Chase Promenade in Millennium Park. Highlights of this year's Festival included the U.S. debut of Cuba's acclaimed Teatro Buendía-hailed as 'highly arresting' (Chicago Tribune), 'astonishingly vivid' (Chicago Sun-Times) and 'deeply inspiring' (Time Out Chicago); the centerpiece production of The Sins of Sor Juana by Karen Zacarías, directed by Godinez and featuring screen stars Malaya Rivera Drew and Tony Plana; a weekend of bold new works in collaboration with New York's Lark Play Development Center and featuring five of Chicago's leading storefront theaters, and partnerships with the Latino Music Festival, Grant Park Music Festival, Millennium Park and Mexico 2010 presented by the Consulate General of Mexico.

Goodman Theatre is proud to announce that Governor Pat Quinn has appointed Resident Artistic Associate Henry Godinez as a member of the Illinois Arts Council. Governor Quinn and Godinez celebrated the announcement with the cast of The Sins of Sor Juana-including Malaya Rivera Drew and Tony Plana-following a recent performance at Goodman Theatre.
