The Oshman Family JCC presents Daniel Kahn & The Painted Bird, a klezmer band from Berlin bringing Jewish punk cabaret into the modern day. The original radical Yiddish borderland bandits, the group offers the sound of 'Alienation Klezmer'-a unique mixture of traditional Jewish folk music, radical Yiddish song, political cabaret, and punk rock. Concocted by singer/songwriter, polyglot poet, multi-instrumentalist, and activist Daniel Kahn, these furious, tender, and electrifying melodies are inspired by the struggles of Jewish revolutionaries and Kahn's own desire for a better world. The band's captivating fusion of accordion and punk rock has been described by Rolling Stone Germany as 'the free-spirited attitude of the New York Tzadik circle, cabaret flair, and scraps of Tom Waits.' Joni Mitchell, master songsmith and storyteller, eight-time Grammy winner and folk music pioneer is the inspiration for  JONI, Morrison Hotel Gallery's upcoming photography exhibit and sale opening on Friday, November 16th   at the Sunset Marquis Hotel location in Los Angeles, the New York City gallery on Prince Street in SoHo and the gallery in Maui at Mick Fleetwood's General Store and restaurant. The exhibit will be up through December 10th.

The Blind Boys of Alabama have the rare distinction of being recognized around the world as both living legends and modern-day innovators. They are not just gospel singers borrowing from old traditions; the group helped to define those traditions in 20th century and almost single-handedly created a new gospel sound for the 21st. Northern California band Loverman has released their debut album, Wings of Desire, today.  Loverman play like the house band of a lounge bar in the middle of the Californian desert, performing for a late-night crowd of rockers, femme fatales, and aging poets, while David Lynch watches from a corner booth. Hot off award-winning film Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, and reunited with Matthew Dunster, who directed his hit Hangmen, Martin McDonagh brings his latest to the Bridge - quite a coup for Nick Hytner. Yet this provocative take on Hans Christian Andersen, and on the nature of storytelling, takes too scattershot an approach to fully land.

Taylor Martin brings you music with a beating heart; his raspy, emotion filled voice is instantly recognizable and his lyrics have an unflinching sincerity. Martin releases his third album, Song Dogs November 16th Little King Records. On it, he spins tales of the highway, homes, lost love, love regained, redemption, and the overuse of cell phones. The Honeycutters' Amanda Anne Platt took the lead as Music Producer (along with adding harmony vocals on a handful of songs) with the help of Co-Producer and Engineer, Robert George, and Martin's visions for the album. The album was recorded at Sound Temple Studios in Asheville, North Carolina.

Cello-shredding rock siren Polly Panic is back with her third studio album 'Losing Form', to be released on CD and digitally via Write Hook Records on November 20. This is Polly Panic's first album in six years, following 'Fragment' (2012) and 'Painkiller' (2006).
