The Sandra Feinstein-Gamm Theatre (The Gamm) is pleased to present an exciting series of educational and cultural events for the community celebrating the theater's upcoming production of Tom Stoppard's epic play Rock 'n' Roll. Inspired by Stoppard's 2006 masterpiece and focusing on the fall of communist dictatorships in Eastern Europe -- specifically 1989's 'Velvet Revolution' in what is now the Czech Republic -- The Gamm will engage scholars and audiences in an ambitious series of lectures, panel discussions and talk-backs exploring the role of art, music, and theater in political transformation.

The Tony Award-winning actor BILLY CRUDUP will star in the world-premiere of Adam Rapp's play THE METAL CHILDREN, which begins previews May 4 prior to opening May 19, 2010 at the Vineyard Theatre (108 E. 15 St.), it has been announced by Douglas Aibel, Artistic Director of the Vineyard. Directed by Adam Rapp, additional casting for the play is to be announced.

Rep Stage, the professional Equity theatre in residence at Howard Community College (HCC), will end its production of Eric Overmyer's 'On the Verge or The Geography of Yearning' on May 2nd. Mel Gussow, in his New York Times review of 'On the Verge...' wrote, 'Blending Tom Stoppard's limber linguistics with the historic overview of a Thornton Wilder, Mr. Overmyer takes his audience on a mirthful safari that leads from darkest Africa to Terra Incognita, spinning into time travel.'
