For over 50 years, Judy Collins has thrilled audiences with her unique blend of interpretive folk songs and contemporary from the 60s to the present. Collins performs from her extensive catalog at MPAC on Sunday, October 24 at 7 pm.

Downtown Anchorage will find a new sound this weekend as Anchorage Summer Arts in the Park (ASAP) returns to the Anchorage Museum lawn and Town Square Park at Alaska Center for the Performing Arts (PAC) with a new series of performers.

As the final installment of its virtual winter season, Northern Sky Theater will present a virtual concert by songwriter and singer Doc Heide on Saturday, April 17 at 7 p.m. CDT. The show will premiere live on the 17th and then be available on demand through May 31.  

Recorded live on The Town Hall stage in February 2021, this streaming performance includes songs that spoke to the social and political activism of the '60s and are still incredibly relevant today. You'll hear Bob Dylan's “The Lonesome Death of Hattie Carroll” and “Mr. Tambourine Man,” Tom Paxton's “Ramblin' Boy” and “Bottle of Wine,” and Billy Edd Wheeler's “Coal Tattoo” and “Winter Sky.” Judy will also sing her beloved hit “Both Sides, Now” by Joni Mitchell.

Cleveland Play House rings in the new year with the next installment of Theatre Thursday: Inspiring Resolutions on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 7:00 pm. Hosted by Artistic Director Laura Kepley, the January edition features performances by Peter Hargrave, Eric Lockley, Laura Perrotta, and Mariama Whyte.

The McCallum Theatre will welcome folk-music legend Judy Collins, with special guest Kirsten Maxwell, at 8:00pm, Tuesday, Feb. 25.

off the WALL productions is announcing the regional premiere of The Women Who Rode Away part of the Carnegie Stage Performance Series.

A collaboration with critically acclaimed Norwegian folk artist Jonas Fjeld, and masterful bluegrass band Chatham County Line, Winter Stories is a collection of songs that capture the sounds and feeling of the winter season.

Released by TVZ Records and Fat Possum Records today—on what would have been his 75th birthday—this album shows the artist working out some of his most iconic songs in an intimate, comfortable setting with one of his lifelong confidantes.
