BRING IT ON THE MUSICAL comes to the Gold Coast direct from its Australian Premiere in Sydney in July 2015 playing for a strictly limited two week season from 8 to 17 January 2016 in The Arts Theatre, The Arts Centre.

After six long years, the wait is finally over! BroadwayWorld has just learned that the musical web series The Battery's Down, which wrapped up its final season in late 2009, will return for a reunion special later this fall. The episode will premiere on October 20, along with a concert that night with performances from original cast members (and some very special guests).Be sure to check back in the coming weeks for a full trailer!

The contemporary new musical IF/THEN, featuring Tony Award-winner and Broadway superstar Idina Menzel (Wicked, Rent, Frozen, Glee), Tony Award-winner LaChanze (The Color Purple, Once on This Island), Anthony Rapp (Rent, Six Degrees of Separation, You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown) and James Snyder (Cry-Baby, Rock of Ages) is coming to the SHN Orpheum Theatre November 10-December 6. LaChanze, Mr. Rapp, Mr. Snyder and Ms. Menzel will reprise their critically-acclaimed performances in this highly anticipated musical, which kicks off the 2015-2106 SHN Season. Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday, Sept. 11 at 10am.

New Line Theatre, "the bad boy of musical theatre," celebrates its 25th anniversary season of adult, alternative musical theatre, with a new, expanded line-up, a brand new theatre, and a very special thank-you to the St. Louis community -- '25 for 25.' At the Thursday preview performance for each show this season, New Line will set aside 25 tickets, and the first 25 people in line at the box office at 7:00 pm will each get a ticket for 25 cents (one ticket per person).

For its second season, Refuge Theatre Project will continue its mission of showcasing the work of a new generation of musical theater writers. Company co-founders Ross and Morgan Glynn Egan announced today that the season will open with High Fidelity -- the musical based on Nick Hornby's 1995 novel and on Stephen Frears' 2000 feature-film adaptation that starred Chicago natives John Cusack, Joan Cusack and Lili Taylor.

Vineyard Arts Project, a nonprofit performing arts residency center on Martha's Vineyard, has announced the cast and creative team of Flying Over Sunset, a new musical to be developed in residence in August. 

On August 1, 2015 the full 2-hour documentary CROSSING THE LINE TO BROADWAY premiered worldwide, chronicling the epic journey of the 2013 Tony Award Nominated musical BRING IT ON!, featuring book by Jeff Whitty, music by Lin-Manuel Miranda and Tom Kitt, lyrics by Amanda Green and Lin-Manuel Miranda, and music arrangements by Alex Lacamoire and Tom Kitt.
