Tracking the largest field of presidential candidates in U.S. history, THE CIRCUS returns to SHOWTIME with eight new episodes this fall. Starting on Sunday, September 22 at 8 p.m. ETPT, the network's most-watched docuseries will continue its fourth season, which averaged more than one million weekly viewers earlier this year. Co-hosts John Heilemann, Alex Wagner, and Mark McKinnon will crisscross the country as an unprecedented cast of Democratic candidates barnstorm key states in their quests to face off against Donald Trump in 2020. Meanwhile, the president is pursuing re-election amid a growing threat of impeachment and looming international crises.

On a middle of the month March weekend, Children's Theatre Company (CTC) of Minneapolis on the United Health Group Stage, offered their audiences a Middle Earth journey when they presented the World Premiere The Hobbit.  Based on one of J.R.R. Tolkien's bestselling novels, the British actor, director and playwright Greg Banks adapted and then directed the production, which featured an original musical score by fellow Brit Tom Johnson. The classic story of Middle Earth Dwarves reclaiming their culture and treasure stolen form them by a fire breathing creature imagines adventure and exhilaration galore, enough to last an entire evening and long after the actors leave the stage.

With the 2020 campaign accelerating and President Trump making unprecedented moves to keep a central promise from his last campaign, THE CIRCUS: INSIDE THE WILDEST POLITICAL SHOW ON EARTH airs on SHOWTIME® this Sunday, February 17 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. In an episode titled “2020 Is Here,” co-hosts John Heilemann, Alex Wagner and Mark McKinnon explore the emerging field of presidential hopefuls and the political forces shaping Donald Trump's re-election prospects. 

THE CIRCUS: INSIDE THE WILDEST POLITICAL SHOW ON EARTH returns on Sunday, February 3 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on SHOWTIME, with President Trump enmeshed in a three-front war against Congress, the special counsel's investigation, and a growing crop of ambitious 2020 challengers. In the episode, titled “Circling Vultures,' co-hosts John Heilemann, Alex Wagner, and Mark McKinnon examine a week of news featuring the launch of major Democratic presidential campaigns, mounting legal problems for the president, and questions about the strength of Trump's remaining loyalists. 

THE CIRCUS returns for its highly-anticipated fourth season on Sunday, January 27 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on SHOWTIME, as Democrats take control of the House of Representatives and 2020 hopefuls begin to plot their presidential bids. 

As a politically motivated bomb scare rocks the nation, THE CIRCUS returns on Sunday, October 28 at 8 p.m. ET/PT with an episode titled “Black and White,” exploring the blistering rhetoric and deepening divides of American politics. Co-hosts John Heilemann, Mark McKinnon, and Alex Wagner go behind the scenes of two of the country's most contentious midterm campaigns as Florida and Georgia consider electing their states' first African-American governors. 

With the Trump presidency facing an onslaught of new legal woes, Hurricane Florence bearing down on the Carolina coast and the midterm elections looming, THE CIRCUS returned Sunday, September 16 with a new episode, 'The Gathering Storm,' at 8 p.m. ET/PT on SHOWTIME.  

Today, SHOWTIME announced that prominent political strategist and commentator Steve Schmidt will join the network's heralded weekly political docuseries THE CIRCUS as a recurring on-air contributor when the show returns on Sunday, September 16 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Schmidt has made previous appearances on THE CIRCUS, offering trenchant insight based on his more than two decades working at the highest levels of national Republican politics. In the show's fall run, Schmidt will join hosts John Heilemann, Alex Wagner and Mark McKinnon as they crisscross the country covering the most high-stakes midterm elections in modern history — with titanic implications for the presidency of Donald Trump.
