The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess will run at Regents Park Open Air Theatre from 17 July to 23 August with Opening Night for press on 28 July. Celebrated as a landmark piece of American theatre with iconic songs including 'Summertime', 'I Got Plenty of Nothing', 'I Loves You Porgy' and 'It Ain't Necessarily So', Porgy and Bess will be directed by Regents Park Open Air Theatre's Artistic Director Timothy Sheader, with a book adapted by Suzan-Lori Parks and a musical score adapted by Diedre L. Due to phenomenal demand, 5,000 extra tickets will go on sale on Monday 30 June for Timothy Sheader's critically acclaimed production of To Kill a Mockingbird (28 August- 13 September) at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre, including an extra matinee added for Tuesday 9 September.

Having never been to the Regent's Park Open Air Theatre before, all I knew was the buzz and excitement other people gave off about previous shows there. Walking through the main entrance, immediately there's a warming and unique atmosphere; perhaps it's just because it's that time of year when we can finally sit outside in England with only a small chance of being rained on. It's a new season at the Open Air, and what better way to begin than with Arthur Miller's classic 'All My Sons', directed by Timothy Sheader.

Casting for Regent's Park Open Air Theatre's 2014 production of All My Sons was announced today, with further casting confirmed for Hobson's Choice and the Gershwins' Porgy and Bess. The season opens on 15 May.

Regent's Park Open Air Theatre has confirmed lead casting for Hobson's Choice and the Gershwins' Porgy and Bess. Mark Benton will play Henry Hobson in Hobson's Choice, with Jodie McNee as his daughter Maggie. Rufus Bonds Jr and Nicola Hughes play the title roles in Porgy and Bess with Phillip Boykin re-creating his Tony Award nominated performance as Crown, and Sharon D Clarke as Mariah.

Regent's Park Open Air Theatre, where the 2012 Shakespeare in the Park production of Into the Woods originated, has today announced a season of five productions for 2014. Opening the season on May 15 (running until June 7), Artistic Director Timothy Sheader will direct Arthur Miller's 20th Century classic play All My Sons. Harold Brighouse's Hobson's Choice will then run from June 15 (until July 12), directed by Nadia Fall, alongside a production of Twelfth Night re-imagined for everyone aged six and over. This production of Shakespeare's comedy for younger audiences will be directed by Max Webster and will also be supported by in-school workshops devised by the Young Shakespeare Company for years 3-6.

Digital Theatre has just announced that the Regent's Park Open Air Theatre's Olivier Award-winning revival of James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods will be added to its paid Youtube channel, for a limited run, from Thursday 5 September. Today also sees Digital Theatre announce a global virtual screening of the production at 7.30pm BST on Friday 27 September across all of Digital Theatre's platforms.

Chichester Festival Theatre will unveil its temporary state-of-the-art auditorium, Theatre in the Park, with a major new production of the musical Barnum, presented in association with Cameron Mackintosh.
