Dee Roscioli Takes Over Elphaba on Broadway on July 21

Beginning performances Tuesday, July 21, DEE ROSCIOLI will assume the role of Elphaba in the musical blockbuster WICKED. Ms. Roscioli is making her Broadway debut after playing the role of Elphaba for the final two years of the record-breaking Chicago production of WICKED. Dee joins a cast which includes Alli Mauzey as Glinda, Tony Award-winner Rondi Reed as Madame Morrible, P.J. Benjamin as The Wizard, Kevin Kern as Fiyero, Alex Brightman as Boq, Cristy Candler as Nessarose, and Timothy Britten Parker as Dr. Dillamond.

The Broadway production of WICKED will perform an additional performance on Sunday, June 28th at 8pm to benefit The Actors Fund. All of the actors' salaries and all of ticket sales will be donated to The Actors Fund benefiting people in film, theater, television, music, opera, and dance.

Aaron Tveit will return to the role of Fiyero on Friday, January 23. The role of Elphaba is currently being played by Marcie Dodd.

Veteran stage, screen and television star John Rubinstein is announced to play The Wizard in the new Los Angeles production of WICKED, which begins performances on February 10, 2007, at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood. Rubinstein joins stars Eden Espinosa and Megan Hilty, who play Elphaba and Glinda, and Carol Kane, who plays Madame Morrible. Kane appeared in the role during the sold out engagement of WICKED at the Pantages Theatre last summer, and then went on to play the part on Broadway.
