JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, starring Ted Neely, is returning to the Masonic Temple Theatre on Sunday, February 14, 2010 for one performance.

Not to be confused with the opera by Giuseppe Verdi, AIDA the musical by Elton John and Tim Rice is yet another spin on the popular 'Romeo and Juliet' theme of star-crossed lovers.

The Italian premiere engagement of Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST debuts tonight in Milan at the Teatro Nazionale. BEAUTY AND THE BEAST is presented by Stage Entertainment Ltd., Disney's licensed presenting partner in Europe.

Tickets are currently on sale for the 'Broadway in Caper' series. The series is a part of the 10th anniversary season at the Casper Events Center.

Broadway staples Maya Days and Bob Gaynor are set to debut 'Broadway at Blend' series in Ridgewood, New Jersey October 5th. The weekly series will feature 'mini-concerts' by Broadway talent in an elegant, intimate yet laid back atmosphere.

As rehearsals continue for The 5th Avenue's upcoming production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat®, the show's star, American Idol Finalist Anthony Fedorov, has been spending some of his free time exploring some of Seattle's tourist sites, from the famous to the obscure.

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) is proud to have Stephen Sondheim & James Lapine return to Studio 54 with Sondheim on Sondheim, a new original Broadway musical starring Barbara Cook, Vanessa Williams, Michael Arden & Leslie Kritzer. Music & lyrics are by Stephen Sondheim, conceived & directed by James Lapine. Sondheim on Sondheim will begin previews on March 19th, 2010 and open officially April 22nd, 2010 at Studio 54 on Broadway (254 West 54th Street). This will be a limited engagement through Sunday, June 13th, 2010.

Disney Theatrical Productions and The Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts announced today that tickets for the long-awaited return engagement of Disney's THE LION KING will go on sale to the public on Monday, October 19, 2009 at 10 a.m.

Broadway's landmark musical THE LION KING has welcomed new cast members ALPHONSO ROMERO JONES II and Marquis Kofi Rodriguez ('Young Simba,) and SHEREEN PIMENTEL and SHANNON SKYE TAVAREZ ('Young Nala) to the company. Rodriguez and Pimentel made their Broadway debuts last night, September 29. Tavarez will make her Broadway debut tonight, September 30 and Jones will make his Broadway debut on tomorrow, October 1. Produced by Thomas Schumacher of Disney Theatrical Productions, THE LION KING officially opened on November 13, 1997 at the New Amsterdam Theatre. The production moved in its entirety, including all 52-cast members and the entire 24-member orchestra, from the New Amsterdam Theatre on June 4, 2006, and began performances nine days later at its current home, the Minskoff Theatre on June 13, 2006. The move followed the completion of custom renovations to accommodate the Tony Award-winning production.

Disney's THE LION KING, San Diego's most eagerly awaited stage production ever, will leap onto the Civic Theatre stage from Tuesday, October 13 to Sunday, November 8. Press opening night is Thursday, October 15 at 7:30PM. This engagement is currently one of seven productions running worldwide along with New York, London, Hamburg, Tokyo, Paris and Las Vegas.

Oscar, Grammy and Tony Award winner Elton John will on play on Alice in Chains' upcoming album, the Associated Press reports. The Album is a tribute record to their late lead singer, Layne Staley.

With a crash of drums and a flash of light, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat returns by popular demand to Chanhassen Dinner Theatres? Main Stage for a limited run from June 26 ? September 26.

RGA Productions presents Frankenstein, a concert and rock music telling of the iconic Mary Shelley tale featuring a Grand Rock style that evokes the sound of Pink Floyd, Evanescense, Alan Parsons Projects, Metallica, Stravinsky & Bartok.

In a special ceremony today, Disney Theatrical Productions donated objects from the Tony and Olivier Award-winning musical 'The Lion King' to the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History. Costume elements from the show's protagonist Simba and the tribal shaman Rafiki will join objects from the musicals 'Cats,' 'Rent' and the 'King and I' in the museum's permanent entertainment collections.

TheatreWorks, the nationally acclaimed theatre of Silicon Valley, presents the ferociously funny, utterly unreliable memoir, Yellow Face, from the Tony Award-winning author of M. Butterfly, David Henry Hwang. Part fact, part fiction, this revealing backstage comedy chronicles the playwright?s struggle to define racial identity in the mixed-up melting pot of contemporary America. Broadway and Off-Broadway star Francis Jue will reprise his Obie-Award winning role as the playwright?s father alongside New York-based actor Pun Bandhu and Bay Area theatre veterans Robert Ernst, Amy Resnick, and Howard Swain. Thomas Azar and Tina Chilip make their TheatreWorks debuts. Founding Artistic Director Robert Kelley will direct.
