Broadway In Chicago has announced that a digital lottery will begin October 1 at 9 a.m. for Roald Dahl's CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY.  Roald Dahl's CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY will play a limited engagement at Broadway In Chicago's Oriental Theatre (24 West Randolph Street, Chicago, IL) from October 2 - October 21.

The 2018 Victorian State Schools Spectacular (VSSS) will showcase 3000 young performers from more than 200 schools across Victoria for two shows today 15th September at Hisense Arena.

Northern Stage announces its 2018-19 Season, a season of plays connected by a theme of peace in a turbulent world. The Royal Shakespeare Company has announced new child casting for the Matilda The Musical UK and Ireland Tour with Sophia Ally and Scarlett Cecil joining Annalise Bradbury and Nicola Turner in sharing the title role of Matilda from 29 August. The West End production will continue to play at the Cambridge Theatre, where it is now in its seventh year and is booking until 20 October 2019.

Tony Award-winning Children's Theatre Company is holding auditions for all student roles for the four-time, Tony Award-winning production of Roald Dahl's Matilda the Musical at Mall of America on August 18, 2018 between 9:30am to 3:30pm. CTC is encouraging students of any/all genders, racial backgrounds, abilities, and experience levels to audition. All student roles are being considered for this and other CTC productions through this audition. There will be an additional call-back audition at a later date.

The Royal Shakespeare Company's Matilda The Musical has announced new casting with Hayden Tee playing Miss Trunchbull alongside Rob Compton and Holly Dale Spencer as Mr and Mrs Wormwood. Gina Beck will continue to play Miss Honey, having joined the company in September 2017. Isobel Hubble and Francesca McKeown will join Sarah Munday and Olivia Wells in sharing the title role of Matilda. The multi award-winning production is currently playing its seventh year in the West End and is booking until 20 October 2019.

Tim Minchin, composer of hit musicals Matilda and Groundhog Day, will star in a new series, titled UPRIGHT, according to Minchin's website, TimMinchin.com. He will not only be acting in the eight-part Australian series, but he will also be co-producing, writing the music and co-writing the script.
