Snowlion Repertory Company to Premiere THE SECRET PRINCESS

The small dining room at a local studio was an excellent choice to showcase a classic dysfunctional family living an upper-class life as they descended into chaos over the course of one year. With each of the family members in this dark comedy only really thinking of themselves and their own needs, or living their lives to be sure none of their friends can find fault with anything they do, PTERODACTYLS suggests that our extinction is beginning not with an asteroid or an ice age but rather with a severed connection to the ones closest to us.

This festive event treats audiences to 45-minute previews of 3 brand new holiday-themed musicals. At the end of the evening, audiences vote for their favorite and the winning show will be performed as a full-length staged reading in December. The Freaks Club has been workshopped in Chicago, Los Angeles, and Stamford CT, and now the world premiere production is being staged at the Studio Theater at Portland Stage opening Friday June 14. Farmington Players Ends Run of FROM THE MOUNTAINS OF MOURNE, 3/21

The Farmington Players Barn will end their run of the play, 'From The Mountains of Mourne to the Mines of Montana.' It is a little known tale of 'The West,' that brought Irish ancestors to the Detroit area. Director Sue Rogers of West Bloomfield says, the play is 'dedicated to their valiant spirit.' Rogers emphasizes that the work by Lisa Hayes 'provides a very personal opportunity to share that pride in our heritage; to sing songs, tell stories and enjoy each other's company-what the Irish refer to as ‘craic.'
