Bloomingdale's 59th Street unveils its 2011 holiday windows with entertainment that includes the powerful voice of Martha Wash and cast members from Broadway's Tony Award winning hit Priscilla Queen of the Desert The Musical performing the song they recorded for the 2011 Broadway's Carols for a Cure, Vol. 13.

Artistic Director Jackie Maxwell proudly announced the casting and creative teams for the three plays featured next season on The Shaw's Festival Theatre stage. In making the announcement, Ms. Maxwell noted: 'I am so inspired by the range of talent we've assembled to make up our 2012 Ensemble. This extraordinary group of artists will bring to life the vivid contemporary ideas of each and every playwright whose work we are proudly presenting.'

Composer/ lyricist Scott Evan Davis will present CAUTIOUSLY OPTIMISTIC, an evening of his songs, as part of Jim Caruso's Broadway to Birdland series on October 31st at 7:00PM.

The Time Out New York Lounge, in association with New World Stages, is presenting the second season of the highly popular SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DRAG! This sassy elimination competition on Wednesday nights features themed performances, ruthlessly scrutinized by a rotating panel of celebrity judges, at the Time Out New York Lounge at New World Stages, 340 West 50th Street (between Eighth & Ninth Avenues).

Yesterday, July 26 at 4:00pm the stars of Broadway's new Tony Award® winning musical PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT, perform some of the show's classic dance floor hits at a special live performance at The Apple Store in SoHo.

In the 2010-2011 season, PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT was honored with three Best Musical award nominations from the Drama Desk, Drama League and Outer Critics Circle Award organizations. Olivier Award nominee Tony Sheldon has also received a Tony Award nomination for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical in addition to Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle and Drama League nominations and the Theatre World Award for outstanding Broadway debut. Sheldon was also honored with a Tony nomination as were costume designers Tim Chappel and Lizzy Gardiner, who took home the prize. In celebration of the nominations, the company took the stage at the 2011 Tony Awards on Sunday with a performance of 'It's Raining Men' with the song's composer Paul Shaffer and original songstress Martha Wash. In what has now become a theatrical ritual, originating on Broadway 60 years ago, PRISCILLA cast member Eric Sciotto received the Gypsy Robe and BroadwayWorld was there for the celebration.

Priscilla Queen Of The Desert The Musical, written by Stephan Elliott and Allan Scott and directed by Simon Phillips, will open on Broadway on Sunday, March 20, 2011 at the Palace Theatre (1564 Broadway). Previews will begin on Monday, February 28, 2011.

New York City's legendary Magnolia Bakery makes its stage debut as it unveils the official cupcake of PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT THE MUSICAL. 'The Priscilla Cupcake' marks the first time in Magnolia's history that a Broadway musical has inspired the creation of one of its world famous desserts.

PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT THE MUSICAL will be featured on NY-1 News' "On Stage" this weekend with interviews with the show's cast and creative team and sneak-peek footage from a recent rehearsal.
