Some of the West End's biggest stars have been nominated in BroadwayWorld UK's first-ever awards!

According to reports from Whatsonstage, Ruthie Henshall will star alongside Alison Steadman, Robert Bathurst, and Hermione Norris in BLITHE SPIRIT which is set to play at Bath's Theatre Royal from November 3-13, the Brighton Theatre Royal from November 16-21, Cambridge's Arts Theatre from November 22-27, the Milton Keynes Theatre from February 14-19 and the Richmond Theatre from February 21-26. The production is then set to play the Apollo Theatre beginning March 2.

Theatre Royal Bath Productions presents Alison Steadman, Hermione Norris, and Robert Bathurst in BLITHE SPIRIT by Noel Coward. The show features direction by Thea Sharrock, design by Hildegard Bechtler, and lighting design by Mark Henderson.

As BroadwayWorld has previously reported, Alec Baldwin is starring as the psychiatrist Martin Dysart in Peter Shaffer's Equus this summer at Guild Hall in East Hampton, N.Y. The production, which co-stars Sam Underwood and is directed by Tony Walton will run from June 8 - July 13 at the John Drew Theater at Guild Hall. This will be Baldwin's first production at Guild Hall, of which he is a board member.

Baz Bamigboye reports in the London Daily Mail today that Alison Steadman has signed on to lead the cast of BLITHE SPIRIT as 'Madame Arcati' in the West End. Rehearsals are scheduled to begin sometime in late September and open at the Theatre Royal in Bath on November 3, 2010 for a limited run. Thereafter, Bamigboye reports, the show will tour the U.K. briefly before landing at the Apollo Theatre in the West End on March 2, 2011.

As True West opens at Sheffield's newly refurbished Crucible Theatre, Artistic Director Daniel Evans announces his second season - completing his first year of work at the venue.

Variety reports that Rebecca Hall is set to star opposite Will Ferrell in the upcoming indie drama Everything Must Go. The film is being produced and financed by Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey in association with Temple Hill Entertainment.

The 2010 Olivier Awards will take place on 21 March 2010 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, with Spring Awakening, Enron, Jerusalem and A Little Night Music among the standouts of the season with the most nominations. The Laurence Olivier Awards were established in 1976 as The Society of West End Theatre Awards, and Lord Olivier agreed to have his name associated with them in 1984. The Awards are run by The Society of London Theatre but are adjudicated by panels that are equally made up of members of the theatregoing public and experts chosen for their knowledge and professional experience. According to the New York Times, following his stint as Oscar co-host this Sunday, Alec Baldwin will be heading back to the east coast to star as the psychiatrist Martin Dysart in Peter Shaffer's Equus this summer at Guild Hall in East Hampton, N.Y. The production will run from June 8 - July 13 at the John Drew Theater at Guild Hall.
