The Players Club of Swarthmore Theater is gearing up to end its Centennial season with a bang - a big production that's a perennial favorite. Rodgers & Hammerstein's South Pacific will be hitting the PCS stage in April and May - bringing hits like 'Some Enchanted Evening', 'I'm Gonna Wash That Man Right Outta My Hair' and 'I'm in Love with a Wonderful Guy' along with it.

The WorkShop Theater Company presents its spring fundraiser on Friday, April 29th at 8 pm at The Players Club (16 Gramercy Park South) with a performance-on-book of Eleemosynary by Lee Blessing.

Organized in 1911, the Players Club of Swarthmore Theater is celebrating its Centennial Anniversary and will cap this historic event with its "100 Years of Theater Gala" to be held on Saturday May 7, 2011 at the Drexelbrook, one of the regions finest banquet celebration facilities, located at 4700 Drexelbrook Drive in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania.

Austin Pendleton will direct the first Off-Broadway revival of WOMAN BEFORE A GLASS by Lanie Robertson. The original production opened at the Promenade Theatre in 2005 and earned actress Mercedes Ruehl an Obie award for her performance.

What could be more appropriate for the coming of spring than a classic coming-of-age story? The Players Club of Swarthmore Theater will be putting Anne of Green Gables on its stage, starting March eighteenth.

Today, literature written for young people often features wizards, demi-gods or vampires; but a century ago, things were a bit simpler. Lucy Maud Montgomery wrote a charming series of novels about Anne Shirley, a clever orphan adopted by a kind older man and his stern sister.
