Sara Chase loves Broadway! Join her for a loving and slightly inappropriate tribute to the Great White Way. While her friends were doing normal things, Sara was stalking Lillias White, hocking a couch for Barbra Streisand tickets, and rubbing elbows with future Broadway stars when they still went by their birth names. Tony Award nominee, Nick Cordero will be joining Sara for some Broadway debauchery on June 19!

George Takei, in NYC for The Tony Awards as well as work on his upcoming new Broadway musical ALLEGIANCE took in the Tony nominated revival THE KING AND I at Lincoln Center on Saturday and got a backstage smooch from his friend, Tony nominated Ruthie Ann Miles! TOGETHER WE ARE MAKING A POEM IN HONOR OF LIFE, written by Dean Poynor, will receive its world premiere this summer in a stirring environmental production staged in the cafeteria of a New York City public school. The show will run for 15 performances starting tonight, June 4th. Mikhael Tara Garver (Artistic Director of the Woodshed Collective) directs the production, which runs now through June 28th.

The Old Globe presents William Shakespeare's delightful and romantic Twelfth Night. Rebecca Taichman, whose production of the time-traveling Time and the Conways fascinated audiences last April, is back to direct the first show of the 2015 Summer Shakespeare Festival. The Old Globe engagement will begin performances on June 21 and run through July 26, 2015, with opening night on Saturday, June 27 at 8:00 p.m., in the Lowell Davies Festival Theatre. Humanitas and CTG Select Five Local Writers for PLAY LA Workshop

From a pool of nearly two hundred Los Angeles playwrights, Humanitas and CTG have chosen five writers for their new PLAY LA Workshop, a year-long development process for local, early to mid-career writers interested in creating stage works from the ground up. Each playwright will receive a $1,500 stipend and access to critiques and feedback from theatre, film and television professionals throughout the year as they develop a new play.
