The Hound of the Baskervilles, a comedy adapted by Steven Canny and John Nicholson from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's celebrated Sherlock Holmes mystery, opens Penguin Rep Theatre's 2012 season Friday, May 18.

Vineyard Theatre will present its 5th annual Paula Vogel Playwriting Award to emerging playwright Erika Sheffer, author of the play RUSSIAN TRANSPORT, it has been announced by Vineyard Theatre's Artistic Director Douglas Aibel and Co-Artistic Director Sarah Stern.

Tonight, May 7, Women Behind Bars arrives at The New Group @ Theatre Row in a one-night-only benefit reading of the play by Tom Eyen. Paul Gross, one of Canada's acclaimed actors, leads the cast of Are You There, McPhee? a world premiere by John Guare at McCarter Theatre Center. Directed by Sam Buntrock, the production runs tonight, May 4 through June 3, 2012. (Opening Night: Friday, May 11.)

Off-Broadway's The Play Company will feature a cornucopia of food prepared by some of NYC's top chefs at its 9th annual benefit gala CABARET GOURMET 2012, set for tonight, April 30th at 7PM at the American Airlines Theatre Penthouse (227 West 42nd Street). Lauren Worsham, who most recently appeared as Amy in the City Center Encores! production of Where's Charley, will perform.
