Houston Ballet Artistic Director Stanton Welch announced touring plans for both Houston Ballet and Houston Ballet II, the second company featuring exciting young dancers from around the globe launching their careers, for the 2014-2015 season today.

The Joyce Theater Foundation,Linda Shelton Executive Director,proudly presents the return engagement of Russell Maliphant Company with its production of Still Current, along with the solos Afterlight (Part One) and Two, at The Joyce Theater from December 10 - 14.

The Joyce Theater will present the return of Spain's most successful and authentic flamenco touring company, Soledad Barrio & Noche Flamenca, after three acclaimed engagements since 2011. Under the direction of Martin Santangelo, the company will present a program entitled Noche Flamenca y Antigona from tonight, October 29 - November 9.

BalletCollective will present two world premiere ballets that showcase the company's commitment to artistic collaboration tonight and tomorrow, October 29 and 30 at NYU Skirball Center, 566 LaGuardia Place at Washington Square. The program will include the company's The Impulse Wants Company (2013). All pieces will be accompanied by live music and feature lighting design by Brandon Stirling Baker.

New York, NY, October 23, 2014– UPDATE: Troy Schumacher, Artistic Director of BalletCollective, will now be performing with the company on October 29 and 30 at NYU Skirball Center. Mr. Schumacher is replacing Harrison Coll, who has sustained a minor injury and is unable to perform.

The Old Globe today announced the cast and creative team for the Old Globe/University of San Diego Graduate Theatre Program presentation of William Shakespeare's Pericles, Prince of Tyre, directed by Ray Chambers and running November 15 - November 23 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Opening night is Saturday, November 15 at 8:00 p.m.

The internationally renowned Lar Lubovitch Dance Company returned to The Joyce Theater October 15-19, 2014. The program was entitled Ancient Tales, and the company presented two works based on ancient myths and folk stories from which fairy tales were formed.

Complexions Contemporary Ballet (Complexions) celebrates the company's 20th anniversary season with a run at The Joyce Theater from November 18-30. On a program consisting of three premieres and a selection of repertory favorites, Artistic Directors Dwight Rhoden and Desmond Richardson salute the company's inaugural 1994 performance with appearances featuring special guest artists, including Desmond Richardson and American Ballet Theatre's Misty Copeland.

Jersey City resident Samuel Pott's Nimbus Dance Works will celebrate its Tenth Anniversary Season on November 8 at 7PM with a benefit performance at the Barrow Mansion, located at 83 Wayne Street in Historic Downtown Jersey City. This performance will include some of its most beloved repertory works, including Memo, and Surface Tension. Also being performed is an excerpt from a provocative new work being premiered at the Brooklyn Academy of Music on May 8 & 9, 2015. Tickets are $65 and will include a pre and post-show reception, silent auction and a live auction. The Star-Ledger said “Nimbus Dance Works helps define the American Experience”. All monies raised will help Nimbus continue its mission of bringing people and dance together in an innovative way.

American Dance Machine for the 21st Century (ADM21) will present 15 show-stopping musical theater dance numbers performed by stars from the musical theater and dance worlds during its Joyce Theater debut November 11-16, today announced Nikki Feirt Atkins, Founder and Executive Artistic Director and Margo Sappington, Artistic Director. All performances will feature live music and will be directed by Margo Sappington with musical direction by Eugene Gwozdz.

Linda Shelton, Executive Director of The Joyce Theater Foundation, today announced that The Joyce has selected world-renowned, award-winning choreographer Twyla Tharp as its Artist-in-Residence.

The Argentine writer Leopold Marcecchal (1900-1970) wrote that 'tango has infinite possibilities.' These possibilities are explored and brought to an extremely successful and entertaining fruition in Nuit Blanche (Sleepless Night), presented by Cia.Unión Tanguera at the Joyce Theater, September 23rd-October 5th.
