From October 26 to November 17, August Strindberg Repertory Theatre will present an innovative double-bill of Strindberg's plays, 'Casper's Fat Tuesday,' translated by Jonathan Howard, and 'The Stronger,' translated by Robert Greer. The evening is a 'sweet and sour' pairing of one undiscovered play and a novel adaptation of a more familiar one. Both translations are world premieres. The plays will be directed by Robert Greer, produced by the Strindberg Rep and the Pink Pig Ballet in association with Theater Resources Unlimited, and performed at Gene Frankel Theatre, 24 Bond Street (East Village).

The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre - the acclaimed gay comedy/variety show - will open its fourth season tonight, September 20, 2012 at The Duplex in New York's West Village. Each edition of The Meeting* honors a different gay icon; the September show will pay tribute to Disco chart-topper Sylvester with special guests Bridget Everett, Ben Rimalower and Xavier. Tamara Anderson, of The Media Theatre's 'Hairspray', is an actress with a mission. Onstage, her role as Motormouth Maybelle assists in bringing integration to Baltimore and offstage she is the creator of a theatre piece, 'The Voices Project', that serves as a platform for dropout prevention to shine a light on the dire need for sustainable programs for individuals who self select to leave or are pushed out of school.

New York based actor/therapist, Jude Treder-Wolff, will be taking her solo show, CrAzYToWn: MY FIRST PSYCHOPATH to The San Francisco Fringe Festival tonight, Sept 8th - 16th.

Matt Patrick Walsh's 90-minute cabaret 'How's This Sound!?' comes to the Duplex tonight, September 7th, at 9:30 PM. 'How's This Sound!?' includes original musical theatre by Matt Patrick Walsh with featured lyricists performed by a very talented cast of actors.
